There's also the dodge using the guard button and pressing left or right when you're on the ground.

"With Dimensional Vanish, I can dodge attacks much more easily and gain some extra height!" *Proceeds to never use it for either of those things until the final boss*

Tip for fiery puffer while doing this challenge - when he does the phase 2 rolling attack on the ground, use magalor surge midair to through, then use air dodges to stall until the fire is gone.

I just got to magolor epilogue an hour ago. Got the game the same week it came out.

17:46 I could *feel* your pain through the screen. Never before have I seen someone die at the exact same time as the boss, and I can't even imagine what rollercoaster of emotions I would've experienced if it had happened to me.

Update: something very similar happened. Was trying to get the "win Smash Ride without falling" mission, and I had been doing great this one run. Then, I got knocked off the stage at the last possible moment, as in I fell off of the edge right as the "Time's Up" message appeared on the screen.

Another run where "enemies hit like a truck and I hit like I got hit by a truck" -A Terraria youtuber (or gamechamp IDK)

Pretty sure you can air dodge in the second Boss when it comes at you as a big fire ball. I did that the first time because it was the only way for me to dodge it consistently

Oh, Idk if you know this but its pretty neat to know, on any situation where you’re required to constantly jerk the joystick around you can actually instead just shake the entire controller/joy-con constantly and its more effective too I feel like. The same can be done to charge up Kirby’s super inhale a lot faster as well as charging up the Spark ability’s charged shot.

for the fiery puffer, you can duck under the fire beam in phase 2. And in the rolling attack, you can jump dodge and if you are skilled, you can dodge it.

I wish they gave us the ability to use Magolor in the Arenas in a future update. That's the one thing keeping the game from being a 10/10 for me. Although looking at how Forgotten Land didn't get any additional content post-launch I won't get my hopes up.

After doing this challenge myself, I've determined that you can in fact dodge the fiery puffer's roll by running, jumping and using a magolor surge straight through it. An air dodge can be used afterwards to avoid falling into the fire if need be.

Talk about pure skill and making great use of the abilities.Great work dude!

About dimensional vanish, you can use it to infinitely gain height, and it would’ve saved you from falling in so many pits. It literally has no cooldown.

For Fiery Puffer’s second phase, I think that jumping then using Magolor Surge as it passes by would’ve helped, since it had invincibility frames and the fire that trails behind disappears fast enough so that you can hover just a bit and land safely.

When this side-game got announced, I immediately thought that someone would do this!

When I first saw this mode revealed, I already thought of doing this challenge. I saw your video and held off on watching it until I completed my own run. It's nice to see someone else do this challenge, but there a few things I would like to say. When Fierry Puffer turns big, you can actually avoid the rolling attack you were having trouble with. Stand away from the side he's coming from, jump forward, and use a Magalor Surge to I-Frame through it. You might get hit by the fire, but if you time it right you won't take any damage. Dimesional Vanish is broken. You can activate the frame after reappearing from the Vanish. You can gain a lot of height and be invincible for a long time by doing this. However, every time you use Dimensional Vanish without touching the ground, it will last for a shorter amount of time. It will even lock you out of moving if you use it enough. Crowned Doomer has a pretty simple moveset. In fact, his first phase a cycle of ten moves. With optimal damage, you can beat him before he does more than 10 attacks in his second phase. Overall, you did pretty good, but not using Dimensional Vanish was your biggest mistake.

I also attempted this, and damn it's hard. I got all the way to the final boss before giving in and using upgrades.

I tried to do it to I think I could give you advice. you can use the dash attack to be invicible against fiery puffer and you can just hold down to dodge the fire breath. I forgot too much the teleportation during my playthrough but it's really strong, you can last longer in the air, you cannot take damage, that's just awesome, I fell down died against some fights too much for nothing by forgetting it, by exemple the part where he couldn't go high enough and died at the key level you actually can with the teleortation. bombs do more damage than the base attack and don't count anytime to be pull out, better against bosses. the dash attack is normally the most spammable and useful move of the moveset, but without upgrades it SUCKS, hiting the bosses is almost impossible, you do almost nothing bombs are better at this point. no matter how good you are, the doomer will be a PAIN, the crowned doomer even more, just a little thing, when there's two in the screen doing the attack at 13:46, go a little to the right or you'll get hit, and use the teleportation when they do the attack where it drags you to the center. needles stay longer and higher than the bombs but will get destroyed very easily, let them as a hazard but don't count too much on them. the bubble attack of the crowned doomer can be dodge by two way, or do the dash attack just before the bubble hit you, or put needle and spam the up air. when doomers charge just use the dash attack to be invicible. same than fiery puffer fire breath, just press down when the crowned doomer will use the electricity. the attack where he lunch projectiles just after entering the second phase can be dodge like the galacta knight version of it, go to the corner where the projectiles come from. I don't know why everybody forget about that but just go to the corner where the doomer is to don't get hit when he summons more doomers. spamming air attacks is the best way to do damage andthat's not reallly big. the fight will be long but don't get too greedy, you'll take an insane amount of damage and die before even realizing it, if you're too impatient you'll just lose. and finally you arrive at the final fight, I advice you to don't read what's left if you really want to experience by yourself. wait for the three roots for the magolor cannon. be careful with roots, you can be hit because you didn't evalued well the distances and where they'll go. DESTROY THE APPLE, well to be accurate, destroy one apple (I personally destroy the left one first but it doesn't change anything)and destroy the big apple, don't dash attack one the big, it's useless and dangerous, still bombs. ignore the enemies, just don't get hit and it's okay, they just disapear after a moment. when master crown go on the stage, going to the right side isn't enough, you need to jump (and teleportation to be sure) to dodge the full attack (when it go more deeply it creates rock and do damage). so here we are, that's all my little advices, thank you if you read that book and good luck, this challenge is very fun.

I did this exact same challenge because I saw you do the live stream on it. It took me a lot longer, but I love how you didn’t realize you could dodge roll or dash attack through fiery puffers attacks and almost all those funny moments in world where you kept falling in pits You could’ve avoided by using the portal thing in the air and also that soft lock is in the soft lock because of the portal

5:06 Instead of face tanking the roll, you might be able to jump then dash through to avoid the fire he leaves behind. As for the big flamethrower, you might be able to just duck under but I'm not 100% sure. I know you can for Fatty Puffer in the main story with his big water beam.

Puffer can be dodged by dashing through, and teleporting can give some minor height for some platforming.

Much trouble would have bee dodged by lnowing you can fly eternally with the dimensional rift.

I just finished this myself before finding this, and the lack of dimensional vanish is concerning. Also, if you surge during fiery puffer's charge while in the air, you can get just enough distance to not take damage

While I will give congrats for doing this challenge, I feel like fatty puffer could’ve been much easier if you spot dodged or used the dash attack midair through him to avoid his rolling attacks

17:43 you can dodge this attack pretty easily by going to the side the projectiles are sent from they rarely hit the corner they come from

For me it was when he kept falling in a regular level.

I did this myself, no upgrades at all, all bosses and final boss all with base magic

The entire reason I got this Edit: On Crowned Doomer, when he does the background sphere attack, if you go to the corner the spheres are going to you can avoid it just like in Super Kirby Clash against Galacta Knight

You do remember that dash attack you have, right? You could've used that in the Fiery Puffer fight to dodge through it's giant rolling attacks and not take damage.
