Haven't watched the whole video yet but I do know that getting hired by the Van Graffs gets you automatically equipped with either a laser or plasma rifle and combat armor. All you have to do is book it immediately after you receive the items and just like that the challenge is much easier.

if you do the van graff guard quest, you have the combat armor automatically equipped

the mailman forgot his phone password.

I mean, if you had a fist fight with a coyote in real life, I'm pretty sure you also wouldn't be feeling too healthy afterwards either.

I love your content. You're the biggest reason why I play New Vegas.

I'm nearly certain that Loyal's Detonator auto equips when you get into the fight spot to set it off. Also, an interesting side effect of the Stealth Suit from Old World Blues, and/of having lots of Auto-Inject Stimpacks, is that when you die, you hear super deeply (since time has slowed in the death animation); "Haaaavvveee aaaa stimpack...." And then that pneumatic "hiss" of a Stimpack injecting, over, and over, and over, and over, and over as the auto's and/or the Stealth Suit desperately inject your dead body trying to get your health back up. It's pretty amusing to listen to.

Could you do a reverse Leveling challenge? You start super strong with high stats and every time you level up, you're forced to put negative points into stats to lower them and you basically get weaker and weaker as the game goes on.

@@Dooom65 fair enough, the only other thing I can think of is making all enemies have the same traits as him at the start of the run, but the issue of vats and fun are something I don’t really know how to answer.

Had to stress that at the beginning before people started yelling about it in the comments lol

You should've done the BOS quest line, because when you get the power armour training a set of T-45 power armour will be automatically equipped

I have three suggestions: - ABC challenge but it extends to all items. S = Stimpacks, A = Anti-Material Rifle, etc. You still cycle weapons but skip letters you are using elsewhere. - FallOut 4: Can you complete the game while switching factions? Once all factions are available, start doing a single Brotherhood quest, when it is completed, do and complete an Institute quest, then do a Minutemen quest, followed by a Railroad quest, and start over. I don’t know if it’s possible but I thought it was interesting. - FallOut 4: ABC challenge without renaming any weapons. ( Sorry, the ABC challenge is my favorite run you’ve done.)

Despite how iconic the mini nukes in Fallout are, I just realized that don't think I ever seen you use one in your runs. Is a nuke-only run possible? Or would it force you into pacifist tactics often?

Hey Nerbit, thank you for narrating the story as you go. I’ve put hundreds of hours into these games like so many, but it keeps every playthrough fresh

you could have done the guard quest for the van graffs, where they automatically equip you with a plasma/lazer rifle and give you combat armor, if you leave your post you can kill them all with the stuff still equipped

Even after the marathon-level slog of that Metal Gear run, this man is still dropping references. You sir, are a madman.

How Nerbit can make over 100 episodes and still continue to make me laugh with his script writing is impressive. The thumbs up was my personal favourite.

Have played FNV so many times and explored that cemetery at Goodsprings more times than I can count. And Benny's cigarettes are something I never had any idea about.

I have a new challenge run idea for multiple games. Can you beat (game) as the poster boy. The idea is that you have to finish the game while using the same weapons and armour as the main character on all the posters for whichever game you are playing example: playing through Skyrim as a Nord with a steel sword, iron helmet, gauntlets and studded leather armour.

This is basically “I know way too much about new Vegas and I’m about to show you” and I love it

You can always get combat armor and a plasma rifle equipped by starting the van Graff mission and just run off while wearing it

I usually don't watch your videos. I listen to them while commuting. This time I watched you play with dead bodies and was pretty entertained but then had to go back to listen mode because something came up. Enjoyed what I saw

Dr Mitchell: here's a priceless piece of old machinery from my young days but you can make use of it. The courier: oh wow thanks...I'm gonna brick it. Dr Mitchell: don't break the software please! Courier: I won't *tosses it out the window like a brick*

Your commitment to a metal gear reference in every video is admirable. You're pretty good

Actually, you are able to escape the Legion's arena with the armour and machete by walking backwards immediately after you finish talking Ymfah showed off this trick in his 0 weight challenge vid

You should try a VATS only run of one of the Fallout games. I'm sure it's possible, but would definitely come with some interesting challenges.

I believe that the corpse at 19:25 is the guy who runs the nearby GrubHub shack (or whatever it's called), since they are technically NCR aligned. I always seemed to get jumped by Legion assassins whenever I fast travel near that location, and he and his wife(?) often join in the fight (and die, because they are wearing clothing and not real armor). Once again a great run; I really liked the focus on side missions in this one!

“Can you beat (the Bethesda RPG you’re least familiar with) without the HUD?” I feel like this would be an interesting test of memory, and lead to a fun journey of misdirection and death.

13:00 I did walk out of the arena door before it closed, as I had changed my mind about the fight, picked up my stuff from the container and went on my way. Took a week for me to relize, after having forgotten the whole thing, that I could for some reason not place that machete and armour in a container. So suddenly I have a backup weapon and armour to use.

Another awesome run Nerbit. Always fun watching you play these games with the most interesting rule sets.

Fun fact,if you work for the van graffs and let the suicide bomber in,you can get a suit of combat armor and a unique plasma rifle or laser rifle, which can make this much easier. They also auto equip

19:21 - The Legion assassins weren't attacked by a caravan. They were attacked by Fritz and Lupe from the Grub 'n' Gulp Rest Stop (the male body is Fritz). That area is a hotspot for Legion assassins, and since Fritz and Lupe are NCR citizens, they will help the Courier fight any Legionaries in their vicinity, including assassins.

If you put Hardin in charge of the BoS prior to destroying it, you can get power armor automatically equipped. As a bonus, if you wipe out the Van Graffs in the bodyguard quest, you will have a laser or plasma rifle automatically equipped, making you a fully equipped BoS Paladin without the pip boy

Alright, here’s a fun one I found myself. In Honest Hearts, you cannot pickpocket Daniel. However, you can stealth prompt him to attempt to talk to you. If you prompt him while standing behind him and run away as he’s turning around, you can make him follow you as he attempts to start dialogue with you. You won’t be able to spend the entire DLC getting chased by him due to story reasons, but you can spend a good portion of it this way.

I would personally want to see a challenge of a weapon restriction. But I feel like it needs a boss, maybe a big boss. Perhaps it could be a metallic thing full of gears and wires. This sounds like something only a ridged paraplegic lizard could do. But I have kept you waiting long enough. Can you beat fallout new Vegas with the silenced 22? We must agree that the only reason Pistol Bobcat's even more distant cousin couldn't kill our paraplegic lizard was because the engravings gave him no tactical advantage whatsoever.

Good run per usual. Always fun to see how the obstacles are dealt with. How about, "Can you beat fallout new vegas as an Omerta Thug?" Become the very thing you swore to destroy!

Love these videos, so I though I'd contribute to another New Vegas idea: Can you beat the game as a Powder Ganger? You can only use gear and weapons found on Powder Gangers (meaning only their cloths and their Dynamite), must complete every quest from the gang's members, and must oppose the NCR for obvious reasons.

One thing you could do to somewhat circumvent this challenge is go into dead money or old world blues respectively and once you end the initial Dialoge you should auto equip the holorifle or the sonic gun

this is the kinda run, where getting all the unarmed special attacks would really help. Khan Pocket Sand / Ranger leg sweep are godsends :)
