Wouldn't it make sense to have Preston as a companion during a minutemen playthrough?

@@tekno4blood Imagine you call a number and an automated voice answers in Preston's voice "Hello this is the office of the Minutemen General. If someone has invaded your sellement, please press 1, if someone is extorting you please press 2, if someone from your settlement has been kidnapped, please press 3, to set up a new settlement please press 4, or hold to be connected to Preston."

You get the Minutemen paint for PA only after Preston ASKS you to join and you say yes. Also - Preston has a Minutemen outfit in his inventory if you trade with him. Good video though bud!

His default costume is a bit bugged as its stats are supposed to be 30 DR and 16 ER with 1P and 1C but decimal point in base code. Unofficial patch deals with this and Preston's coat is really good for early and entering mid game as you NEED that energy armor as gunners and synths start forming warbands!

Pro tip when playing for the Minutemen. You can dissmiss your companions to the Castle before the institute attacks for 12 immortal defenders. Add in a high charisma build which will give you 20 settlers at 10 charisma you'll have 32 fighters on your side that can make short work of any attacks. And if that isn't enough bodies already you can increase the number even more by using any alcohol & chems that increases charisma & any clothes too to go beyond the base 10 charisma & move settlers from a different settlement to the Castle for even more. If you have the dlcs you can add in 3 more immortal companions & as many robots you want to build for an insane fight.

@@ArchDornanOfficial true but it does kind of makes up for having to deal with Preston & his radiant quest. Plus after you destroy the Institute you can have another grand battle at the castle by destroying The Brotherhood of Steel.

It's not a mod or creation club add-on it's just that you hadn't became general yet Edit 1: it's on creation club for Gunners vs minute men but it's different paints but you get t 45 for free

You could've entered Super Duper Mart in Lexington. There are like five Minutemen corpses you could loot there. That's more than likely the earliest you can get a Minuteman outfit in the game if the corpses near Concord didn't have one. There's also a Minuteman corpse at Fort Hagen, albeit it's in a destroyed building next to a random encounter hotspot across the street from the Red Rocket.

You should have put more points into intelligence, allowing you to take the science perk, which allows you to get better upgrades for the laser musket. Other than that, great video. Keep up the food work

One issue the idiot savant perk it helped get like 30% of the lvls but yea good point just flawed

​@Agent_nuka While it gives more than maxed out intelligence, any laser weapon build shouldn't have it, nor should one that relies on getting things from safes, or that needs high level power armour earlier. Idiot savant is great but with 1 intelligence you miss out on so many perks that can make or break a run depending on the rules you set.

@@beththedarkmage3359funny thing is idiot savant is still good with max int. It triggers less often but is worth more when it does. If we assume the average player quits at around level 30, it will on average have paid for itself with interest by then. The higher you intend to level the better it is.

Pretty fun video. Thanks. Always annoys me to run around nude so I always waiver the clothes requirement when I do challenge runs. I'd still require your wear minuteman clothes as soon as you go them though.

Can you beat fallout 4 with only charusma perks like indimadation,wasteland whisperer and animal friends in any conflict and if that does not work in tour conflict you must only use a 10mm

Power armor paints come with the faction you choose, T-45 gets the Minutemen, T-60 gets the BoS, T-51 gets the RR for some reason, and Institute gets literally nothing bcuz they didn’t bother to think of a paint when they scrapped the Institute power armor. I feel like they would have gone with X-01 but here we are with no Institute paint for any power armor.

Could do first paladin danse quest and don’t press engine button and let paladin danse infinitely kill synths for lots of fusion cells

Personally I would use the start me up mod to select the minute man survivor thing and spawn at red rocket or diamond city

At first I thought "Well of course you can. The musket is a great sniping rifle, and doesn't require ammo." Then I remembered I use a mod that keeps it from needing fusion cells, which would make the challenge a bit harder. I'd definitely be taking the fast hands perk in the agility tree, if I use a musket as my primary weapon. Makes the cranking faster. Would definitely be a sniping build, and likely utilize stealth, although I'm not sure the MM are known for being stealthy. Ballistic weave would be a must, and Preston likes the Railroad more than the Brotherhood, so I'd side with them up to a point. Although the MM would be the ones destroying the Institute. Wonderful way to cap off the rise back to power, going from essentially a dead faction, to destroying the biggest threat the Commonwealth has had for 100+ years.

The laser musket can be absolutely an amazing weapon

I remember the first time doing the quest named taking Independence and I tried to beat the boss 50 times I counted and I beached it by using high level explosives

If I am right you’ll get the minutemen paint once the castle has been cleared

You forgot that the minutemen are literal farmers so you could also wear a lot of other stuff, such as Explorers outfit, Farmhand clothes and you forgot to mention the colonial duster and minuteman hat in the intro. Sorry if it sounds like a lot I’m a Minutemen fanatic.

I have like 17 power armors i never wear them it feels so bulky and slow even with paint that makes it faster

In my mod list They use Marine amror Combat amror T-51( normal since apparently t-45 is something they cant find) T-60 ( Tesla and heavy units) X-01 ( the honor guard ) Wepaons Radium rifle Handmade Plamsa Laser Going to replace laser musket when i get the chance

Minuteman don’t use chems

also, don't rely too much on idiot savant. it's a fun/useful perk, but for real challenges you should get levels from the quests in the game during the challenges, and not rely so heavily in idiot savant.
