I remember watching an Ultra-Nightmare "pistol-only" playthru close after the launch of DOOM 2016. The only other weapon the guy used was the Gauss Cannon and he only used it for fast movement, not attacks. He used the heavy kickback to avoid the Cyberdemon's lasers and such. Pretty wild.

Yup an easy way to get rid of them is to let them do their charge attack at a wall use the stun mod on the plasma rifle to freeze them in place and super shotgun their tail

Can you beat Prey (2017) with only the wrench? Quick clarification: The wrench is the only thing you are allowed to directly damage enemies with. Npcs/turrets are fine if you don't place them. Also, all tools/powers are allowed as long as they don't deal damage. (Stunning/knocking out is ok)

I actually tried this but also on the hardest difficulty and with no power ups (neuromods) but I did set up turrets. You can get pretty far relying on stealth but I gave up when you have to kill the technopath to progress as it seems impossible on the hardest difficulty. If you play it on the easiest you can just breeze through the game as you don't have to kill almost any enemy.

I used the suppressed revolver with the stock attachment for over half of the game, it's really good against humans but i eventually swapped it for the automatic shotgun when more mutants started appearing

That's not even a challenge considering daggers have some of the best crit damage. If you learn to party you can straight up one shot so many enemies

Theres literally millions of challenge runs of dark souls. Anything you could think of has already probably been done. People beat those games ng+7 at level 1 with nothing but their fists. Edit: while taking no damage

The reason that enemies kill themselves is a feature to fight glitches. It is entirely possible for an enemy to spawn outside the map, since some of them spawn relative to you. If an enemy can't move, get to you or make an attack within a specific amount of time, it'll kill itself because the game will assume that it was spawned outside the map.

Also, you throw Kurt Angle to the mix, not Samoa Joe.

now u can beat Doom Eternal with only an pistol when it come out :)

Ziomaletto there’s still a pistol in the game you just have to use console commands to get it. A KZreadr I sub to beat the game with it on Ultra Nightmare

One of my favorite details in this game is that if you shoot a cacodemon enough in the eye it will fire randomly and blowup

It'd be really strange if the creator of the H-Doom mod remade it in the 2016 Doom engine.

I, uh... can confirm that is possible. I wouldn’t request him to do that though. Getting anywhere is a grueling trek. Trying to shoot anything feels like you’re a wacky-wavy-inflatable-tube-man who had chlorine poured into your eyes. And the ringing from the concussion makes you want to let a death claw clean the inside of your ears. It’s an insanely annoying challenge, and I even went the diplomatic route.

It is actually stupid easy to do. With the right perks, stamina regen, and an infinite amount of time you can just stunlock everything to death with the shield bash.

When you find a detail device for the Cacodemon it says “They are dumb” so Mitten Squad is correct
