Right, the point is to BE, breath and be conscious and alive with love for...
"Presence does not have to be slow." "Zen: Hurry slowly." "Have 80% of your attention in the DOING itself, and 20% on where you want to get to." "Working fast with PRESENCE implies enjoyment of the activity, and not being present usually implies lack of enjoyment of the activity and arising of stress." "Do it actually being fully CONSCIOUS of EVERY MOVEMENT and enjoy the ENERGY behind it, rather than mentally projecting to the future. " "Do not excessively focus on the next moment." "Zen is doing one thing at a time." Thanks.
7:42: "Why the constant dead lines?". 🙏🏻 One of the most poisonous feature of the ego, to make unnessecary pressure. "If you have to hurry up, go slowly." 🙏🏻
Because of your wisdom, I feel fortunate sometimes to “catch myself feeling harried” in the “doing”. In those times, I realize I feel a need to hurry through the current task to get to the next one, so I can then go on to the next. Then, it hits me: why are you feeling anxiety in the doing ? Slow down…savor the doing. It’s not that I actually do the thing more slowly. No, I actually do the task at the same speed as before. It’s my mind that has slowed. It’s my focus that has changed. I go from hurrying through the small things of daily activity, only to realize that that is essentially what life is….a bunch of small things happening one after the other in succession. That is life……It’s the small considerations that add up during the day…….And if you/I approach them with anxiety in order to get to the next small thing in the big picture, I will have passed my life by with anxiety and thoughtlessness. Thank you, Mr. Tolle, for changing the course of my thoughts, slowly.

Focus on the process not the outcome, focus your attention on the present moment not on your goal or your intention. Eckhart Tolle said in his video that 80% of your attention should be focused on the present moment while the other 20% on your intention which serves as your strategy, your aim or where you want to go.

Ironically, I lived a life that centered on the feelings of others. Instead of expressing my feelings frankly, I thought I had to live a happy life that would require suppressing my feelings to avoid making problems. At the same time, I firmly believed that my inner anxiety or nervousness should not be revealed. I tried to think positively or forced a smile on my face, hiding my unease and pretending not to know. Some feelings discomforted me, which I knew I should not be feeling, yet whenever those feelings arose, I would deny myself and suffer. I thought this was the right way, but reality told me the contrary. I became more vulnerable. I started to use the "Intended mindfulness playlist' and got much better. It really works 🙂🙂

Great teaching. This one tends to be most important. People slip into unconsciousness when they rush. If not aware it takes us away from presences.

Hurry Slowly 👌👌
I am SO grateful we were laid off during covid, then a personal crisis had me spinning into overdrive trying to learn new skills. Thankfully, I finally feel n realize I have time and self-compassion is teaching me, that I'm worthy, with or without a job title. It's been so wonderful to learn to accept myself. I send prayers to the many wonderful people living with the pressures of deadlines, etc. Thank you Eckhart for helping me slow down, and enjoy presence.

Yes totally! Gratitude and cherishing each moment is the greatest Gift we can realize, as you did! It will make us feel abundant no matter the Life situation, and from that Abundance more will come into our lives. 🙏🙌😇Keep it up! I suggest daily gratitude journaling, morning and night before bed. Just a few minutes of writing down all that you're grateful for.

Thank you so much. I watch your videos every day 🙏
''Hurry slowly!'' Loved that!
Fullest attention in what you’re doing in this moment!🙏🏼
Being present is naturally faster because Presence enables you to do it right with high quality the 1st time.
There is no contradiction, but it requires training for most people! Especially in the more mind-centered activities it is hard to let go of control
When ur really connected to ur self and in the moment breathing is one of the best things in the world you feel so connected!
Be brave, your heart will lead you the way, to a new version of yourself, full of love and light, finally you recognise the illusion of negative patterns of the mind and you are moving forward with great inner peace, much love to all of you 🙏✨❤️

As an artist I can relate to this state of hurry slowly. Happens often when the hurry is triggered by the natural rush of slowly getting a visual result. Apparently I am still but mentally all rushes in perfect flow. It's almost a meditative state. I love it! The trick is to forget the schedule during those minutes. It's a spectacular sensation, happy to ear Eckhart talking about something similar.

Nice! can u perhaps elaborate on 'natural rush of slowly getting a visual result'.. in my imagination I feel it as, for example a pencil shading quickly achieving that visual result and noticing it happening, if it were pencilwork for instance =) ♥

@@asmrelief4914 that's preety much it! For example filling a space with colour or making a gradient does not require much mental effort on the creative process. So I can switch off my mind a bit and focus on the now, just observing the evolution on the piece.

“Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached. ” ― Simone Weil ~ Much love from a Law Of Attraction KZreadr💜
Such a timely viewing of this for me. I just started working at a lawyer's office and have to do up a number documents that have urgent deadlines (some real, some created by the boss) while simultaneously answering the phones. It's impossible not to be pulled away from mindfully working on a project. As this way of working doesn't really suit me, perhaps it's time for another gig.
Thank you.
It's not work. It is an activity. I love how he explains certain actions. I hope everyone does activity, experience . Thank you. I love you
I do find more often than not i suffer in work because of the work environment , i do try my best to stay present ❤️✨
-Presence does not have to be slow -have 80% the attention in the doing itself. 20% where you want to get to. -working fast with presence implied enjoyment of activity. -doing actually fully conscious of every movement and enjoy the energy behind it. Instead of proyecting to the future. -when you are running it less stressful because running you actually enjoy every step of it, you not excessively focused on the next moment. -doing one thing at the time.
Namaste thankyou
Hurry slowly: be aware of your activities and the energy and joy behind them in the present, and only be peripherally aware of deadlines. 80% of attention on the present activity, only 20% of attention on where you need to be in the future. Do one thing at a time. Thanks Eckhart. 🐛👍🏆🕊💖🏅🐧🎯
Thank you Eckhart for everything. Peace love light happiness harmony positivity joy bliss health and blessings to all.
Deadlines are stressful and take the joy away from the creativity. Thank you Eckhart 💜🙏
7:44 Yes, Eckhart, I'm in high school.
go to work with the mentality of "i'm here for myself. no matter what happens, i'm putting my own mental health/sanity first. even if others are displeased." i work in hospitality and this one made a big difference for me; not disregarding others or being unpleasant but simply acting in a way that puts my authenticity and mental stability first you won't be giving a flying foock about the people you were sacrificing your sanity for when you're on your deathbed.
Thank you Eckhart! For you to have the saying as we use it in Spanish, it is: ''Despacio, que voy de prisa''.
I love this guy!

I recommend you read his books, start with 'The Power of Now' and go from there. He was highly recommended by a dear friend in 2015. My books look like my college books did, full of highlights and notes in the margins. They're not the kind of books that you read once and then put them on a shelf. You'll be amazed by the transformation of your life. May peace be with you...
Thank you

So is that like the say: "Take It One Day At A Time.?" I'm pretty slow because I don't like to be Rushed Every Time someone wants me to do something with them. I'm the Down to Earth, Going With the Flow Type of Person BUT I Always Manage to Get Things Done. Thank You For This Q& A Video.
Thank you very much, for this interesting Video🙏❤️🧚🏾
Its simple idea but difficult to do but very effective of reducing stress and anxieties. When you go to work and you say the first thing you do is you read email. Then give your Fullest attention on reading email. Your mind might create resistance like “ so many emails again, when this will end” come back to the present moment and focus on reading email again. If you have come across an email from Irate customer with unreasonable demands, notice your mind will get defensive/annoyed/angry/ frustrate. Notice it and let go. Focus on what to do next. How should i reply to this customer to get them in their place? This helps to not feel burn out after work. ❤️❤️

How can we practice presence especially in high thinking job sitting in front of laptop whole day and multiple meetings?
The answer to the question in this video is "yes" I guess. When I think of Shaolin or Sushi masters or zen masters, pro athletes and so on. They all started slowly doing one thing at a time become more and more precise about what they were doing slowly. And then they added speed over time. They all have amazing mental focus. That's what we all can achieve. Calm mind, focussed and then we can carry that in our days and different situations and actions as well. Just like Eckhart said getting in touch with the conscious action and enjoying that 😍
Grazie!
i have reached enlightenment. it's easy. you just have to feel more strongly what is there now. I wonder why not so many make it. especially feel the frustration when you fail. that got me into this state.
Beautiful video 😍
It is the best way to work by concentrating and not letting the mind manufacture thoughts of things it did or things it is going to do.

Experiment for balance of 2022: Going to work with presence. Not be concerned of deadlines. Not to be rushed or hurried by colleagues, managers or customers. By the end 2022 I’m either the top salesperson at my company or at the bottom. Someone hit me up in December 2022 to ask how it’s going.

I heard him talking about a television show that's quite good but doesn't get good ratings and is canceled when it could've been given time to mature, and I immediately think, "NBC's Dracula. If they had advertised that one a bit more and then given it a second season, it probably would have done well. Instead, they barely advertised it and it was canceled after one season."
Date prisa lentamente, is very good translation to spanish. There is a saying proverb in spanish that says " Vista me despacito, que tengo prisa.". Dress me slowly, I am in hurry!
Some body asked Wyatt Earp how he used his gun in a gun fight. He said take you time but hurry up.
Can You be Present and Work Efficiently? Yes! In fact, the presence helps with this! You know what doesn't help you work efficiently, taking life way too seriously otherwise!
