Ngl, I love these feature-length videos, it’s like you can just sit down with chips and your favorite drink and just relax to DB’s voice. Watching movies or shows seems more tedious, I can’t make myself feel entertained enough.

I've been watching these here on the YTs for a while now, and I'm thrilled someone asked for an input display, finally. Also, as far as movies that were wildly beyond their time, visually, Terminator 2.

He was doing wing smashes pretty fast so maybe he was able to keep an eye above alucard while he was smashing through but he didn't go down to the double jump in the first castle.

you can easily see if a relic is there when going under. looking at the replay, it has nothing.

Hey, if it's 'beyond basic pop-culture vampire' vs 'only basic pop-culture werewolf' then of course the wolf is gonna lose. But may I present as food for thought: the wolf-headed men sent by God to eat misbehaving Christians. Or the ones that astral-project their wolf-shaped spirits to fight demons. Monster mythology is silly and I love it.

Top-of-the-line, "realistic" CGI is going to age and look dated in a couple years, but top-of-the-line practical effects are gonna look good even decades later, and movies like Alien and Jurassic Park are prime examples of the latter. Hell, one scene in the movie "Escape From New York" even used practical effects to simulate CGI because actual computers back then weren't capable of producing the effect they wanted.

I know they aren't super good movies but the first two Hellraiser movies are heavily done with practical effects and it's much more...I don't know graphic, gorey than CGI effects. Just looks soooo much better. Jurassic Park is so damn good even all these years later.

@@BelleMorte1979 Yeah. I haven't seen any Hellraiser movies, but I watched The Thing (1982) for the first time back in November and the effects actually kinda freaked me out at times.

​@@jruler93 that's my favorite horror film, and all of John Carpenter's movies have great practical effects up until ghosts of Mars, but ghosts was just kind of a shitty movie all around.

So you may not want to hear this but.... You missed the healing mail/moon rod room in the regular castle. Mist could have been there.
