Can We Fix this LG OLED TV? How to Diagnose Your TV Before Ordering Parts!
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Avoid ordering the incorrect part for your LG OLED TV!
Demo model: OLED77B2PUA
This tutorial applies to all LG OLED TVs
First, remove the back cover and power cord
If you power the TV on and hear a single relay click and the standby light flashes once, it means your main board is good.
Test the power supply by checking the 23V and 12 volt rails. With the multimeter probes in place, power the TV on. You should see the voltage come up briefly and then drop.
If you briefly see the voltage, disconnect the drive cables from the main board going to the T-con
Now recheck the power supply voltages. They should come up and stay.
This means the power supply is good and indicates a shorted panel which cannot be repaired. Contact the manufacturer if your TV is still under warranty.

hi what tools use for lie the oled tv ?
HI I have lg oled 2016 i dont have 12v and 24 vold in my panel.. connected to the Con board.. what could be the problem
I get a click on the relay and then the light pulses. Everything else operates as indicated in video. Thoughts?
do you know if US versions of LG OLED TVs can work overseas with 220 volts? I know the sticker says it is 120V only, but people in the internet are saying it should work
Good luck sir 🎉
OK, so my voltage is sitting at .550 on the different leads that I go to. What does this mean?
With everything connected, when I plug my TV in the standby light goes out briefly and turns back on (but no relay click) Does this mean my mainboard is still good? If I disconnect the lower ribbon off the main board where it says P7601 when I plug the tv back in I get the standby light, relay click, then i get three additional standby blinks then the standby light turns off entirely. My board shows 22v and 12v constantly so I think my power board is good.
what if tv turns on and turns off without beep sound under 1 minute?
6 year old LG OLED 55". The display is physically damaged, shows colored stripes, but turns off after about 1 sec. Where to order display panel?
My TV is making a very loud buzzing sound through the speaker and the problem stays even when plugging a sound bar or an external sound solution I tried unplugging it leave it and plugging it back I tried resetting it I unplugged the cables of the motherboard then plug them back nothing worked the TV works fine but the buzzing is there and it won't stop even when the TV is off
If I hear the relay click but the LED light doesn't flash what does that mean?

If there's no LED at all probably a main board fault. Otherwise a panel fault still needs to be eliminated as a cause.
I'm currently working on a 48" and the lower 2" of the screen get horizontal lines and then the TV turns off. I already tried replacing the TCON board but the same issue persists. Now I'm between the main board and the power supply. I'm thinking the main board is the fault but could it be the power supply? TV only stays on for about 3 - 5 seconds. First 2 seconds there are no lines, they they appear and then a second afterwards the set turn off.

Likely the panel. PSU doesn't cause lines . I repair tvs. Panel or tcon. The lines you described are panel.
my c1 77 oled is not turning on display but standby light blinking I here clicking on and then another slightly different click and this repeats but nothing displayed. on click is more linked the ping sound panel usually makes when turning on or off. it will not power off via remote or physical button have to pull the plug. I have extended warranty but we do have consumer guarantees by law here so retailer has arranged with LG. hopefully it's fixed by them as manufacturing issue. I saw one pot saying this is known issue by LG pointing to power circuit as failure point. TV has worked very well since we got it mid 2021. We only had 1yr warranty knowing lg offers 3 4 years I think. have u seen this cyclic clicking sound b4?

LG repairer resolved my issue it was faulty relays on the power board, replaced that and tv is working again.
I have a question. I have a 77 inch LG C2. I believe lightning hit our dish because every TV in the house. The cable boxes went off but in our back bedroom, the cable box went off and the TV. So I took the back off, watched your video Plugged it in waiting for the relay to click it never would click check the voltage on the 12 V rail. I was getting 8.3 V but it never dropped down checked the 24 V power rail and could barely get 2 mV so I assumed it was the main assembly board get a main assembly board plug it in with a ribbon cables on and the relay still doesn’t click on the power board unplugged the TV take the ribbon cables off and when you plug it back back in the standby light is now blinking three times so I checked the voltage. I have 20.2 on the 24 V rail and just under 12 V on the 12 V rail confused and also not a TV repair man do you think it’s a panel or the power board which by the way I have ordered any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

remove all 4 cables to the panels t-con and try to turn the tv on, if it turns on logically without any image then your panel is shorted. You can also measure the voltage from the black/white 24 pin cable (there is an 24 on the cable) that comes from the power supply to the Mainboard there are small pins at the mainboards socket right at the socket where the cable is seated in. Measure all of them one should be at 3,3v in standby.
I think that if the voltages are not what they "should be", then, you have a bad power supply.
Siempre se debe desconectar la alimentación de la t-com para ver si es problema del panel. Desde el cable lvds de la main más estrecho se puede activar el test pattern y forzar el encendido del panel.

My TV doesn't turn on at all, no light, nothing. I ordered a new power board from you. hope that's why. LG OLED77C18LA

known issue it's the power supply
tanx
LG 65C8PLA used to switch itself on and off a couple of times a month. Recently, it's switching itself off but staying off. It does this every 20 minutes or so. Any ideas on what's causing this? Cheers.

It means it's overheating. My CX was doing the same thing. I replaced the thermal pad in-between the soc and the vapor chamber. I also cut a hole in back case and installed a 120mm computer fan over it. This fixed the issue.
This video isn't correct. I had the same fault this video is showing and it was not a shorted panel. Replaced main board and tcon (got both from broken tv so replaced both for hell of it) and works again. Exact error they are showing so this is false information. Maybe sometimes it's true but not for mine

Yest I also think that this is fake, because disconnecting the motherboard from tcon the power supply board is giving the necessary voltage while the tcon and the panel is still connected with the power supply board so that's means he is giving wrong information

Did you have to reprogram the tv or anything? Lg repair told me I can’t do the repair by myself lol

@@BB-xn1rw no, because I replaced TCON plus motherboard. Long story short, it may work it may not. In the end I was fine. My problem was TCON.

@@Eazy-kx8dz I'm having similar issue but with mine there are two inches of horizontal lines on the bottom of the screen. The tv then turns off after about 3-5 seconds. I've already changed the TCON and the same issue happens. So now I'm thinking main board. You said you replaced both correct? I'm wondering it the main board is the real culprit here.
I apologize they’re getting 7.86 V to where they should be 20+ volts
