There's only 3 talents. I don't think that would work. I think they need to rework how we go about unlocking them. Maybe all talents open up once a unit is a certain level? Change what upgrading a unit does for the unit since talents would no longer be apart of that system.

Talents are so infuriating since I will hit walls on so many missions then I go to look up guides and all the guides are written as if you have the talents for all your units unlocked.

Just give us an option to change any talent for 250 gold and 1000 energy or whatever it is (blue bolt currency), it was just an example, tweak the cost. Stars to upgrade rarity need to drop from chests or they need to be reduced from 3/10/25 to something like 3/7/15, as a free to play player, I will never get 25 stars for a single mini, I will probably never even get 10 lol.

The ideal scenario is not nerfing, but trying to buff other talents and lower tier minis. The meta will still change but at least single player progress won't be impeded.

I really to know who as a player is gonna be in an exiceted time when their unit gets nerfed.

I left rush royale for this reason . You would spend what amounts to hundreds of hours of resource gathering to max out a character, only to have it nerfed to an unwinnable level .

You give them a free talent repick.

They have a system in Hearthstone where if you craft a card and said card is changed/nerfed, they will give a full refund on the resource used to craft it if you choose to. Blizzard actually has a good track record of setting up nerf protection in that game, so I would hope it carries over.

They should add that you can equip / unequip talents, like this you are not penalized for not watching several hours of talent guides on youtube and they are free to nerf / buff talents however they like!

That's a very important topic. Super whales: Will shrug it off, the game is likely fully unlocked to them anyway. They can pivot in seconds Whales: Will likely be ok Dolphins: Will get upset because they are after value for money and suddenly same amount invested lost its monetary value F2P (working types with limited time): Will be very frustrated especially if they worked hard to gather gold to build a good team F2P (kiddies): Will just keep playing

Hope so that they will follow hearthstone trend where you can dischant a card for full price after it got nerf. Maybe they add future like that.

Talents have already driven me away. Not going to play a game where the opponent has a blatant advantage - run into this so many times in PvP. Unfortunate, because it was fun while it lasted!

This seems almost painfully obvious to solve. Just allow us to purchase all talents and swap them out. Why not? That's the clear user-friendly route of doing it

I have a question you may know answer to, what is better, to level all your minis from common to uncommon first (to increase your collection level) or to purchase a talent to mini which has been leveled up (considering this mini is gameplay valuable) - 3 stars cost 270 gold but a talent 250 gold, right now I lean more towards collecting stars but not really sure.

Now if it’s anything like Hearthstone, and this being a mobile game I imagine they’ll work it the same. Is when a card is nerfed or rotated out. You get a full “dust” refund. So the option to get say get a refund on the unit would be nice. Or if you don’t want to re-spec it. You could just get the gold and not put anything back into that unit.

Dang what an interesting quandary, I have little faith in blizzard doing much for the FTP player base, but i have been surprised by them before.

They just need to unlock all the skills at uncommon and let you upgrade them like you do minis as the rarity goes up.

When hearthstone (a blizzard game based on off the world of Warcraft) nerfs cards they give players a chance for two weeks to get full refund in dust (card currency) if the player wants to trade it for dust. I believe this game will do the same as well.

I think the answer to this is the same thing a lot of the other mobile games approach OP stuff, they release more OP things that power creep it. Rumble will look very different 6 months from now, imo.

As a former clash Royale pro I can tell you this isn’t their biggest problem. Their biggest problem is lack of guild base content and collection value. Meaning minis have no value such as chasing after getting that legendary or champion. No dopamine rush means no spending. Nerfing and buffing always upset a few F2P players in CR but was never a problem. The only problem is if they nerfed something extremely rare and it was no longer playable. If it’s fair instead of busted they can’t complain. Also they can take Raid approach and allow you to change talents if it was a nerf into oblivion.

Cool game if you don’t have much time and can play less than an hour with dailies and dungeons etc. pretty decent game.

Excoundrel made a list of all the talents for every unit and what is their current best choices by order, so I've been fortunate to be using that Of course, balance changes could happen but I actually look forward to that. We don't know how they will approach balance, but they might not go straight for talents, precisely because it's so game changing. I imagine they will go for unit's stats and for their costs, which are easier things to change. For example, it would be huge for Sylvanas to get her cost down to 5 or who knows even 4, as she's not actually a bad Leader, she's just too expensive of a unit The game also has other layers like the different maps and towers who will shift the metas by themselves, so even though some units might be weak now, they might be really good in other seasons even without any balance

They'll have to focus on buffing unused talents, instead of nerfing.

This is blizzard we’re talking here.. They will just buff and nerf things as they string us along. No benefits unless you pay $60 to swap a skill with one you don’t own.

Balance happened in every game, esp. in pvp game, and balance means more money to them. So dont think they will make any changes on those area,

What about the game constantly crashing? That is frustrating.

Would be better if you just buy a talent slot for like 500 gold, then you get all the talents and you can just switch between them when you need. Gold economy is still the worst, so nerfing cost from 750 to 500 makes sense to me.

Not knowing how talents worked has stunk.. when it comes to buying units in the grid and being locked to “ un-optimal “ talents. Jaina being my favorite character I was happy to play her. And I took the talent to reduce a spell by one. But if you play something the reduction goes away. I wish the description was more detailed when clicking the info was there. I love this game though. There is just a lot of quality of life changes.

After I hit the wall I uninstalled, they got too greedy with their current mechanics

There’s so many unique things the game offers as a lane pushing game. However, it’s taking almost too long to unlock talents. Not many people will have patience for the grind without much reward. Gold is hard to come by and talents even harder.

I was about to say the same thing. I just completed the first set of heroics fully and it gave me so many levels and the gold to get a few key talents. Since last night I've gotten so much stronger in the game its crazy. Just thanks to heroic campaign

I think will be like Hearthstone they will add more and more content whoever can follow will follow and the others will be left behind, and from time to time they will do some giveaways /boosters to try to bring those players back. I don't believe they will give a way out from the upgrade system that is absurd .. 3 stars ...10 stars and I don't even know for the last lvl how many. You have to invest a lot of time or money to lvl your minis and that is exactly what they want. I liked the game , but I think its taking up too much time for a mobile game.

Ideally nerfing a talent wouldn't make it unplayable, also I wonder how much of the playerbase is split between PvP and PvE because they react to balance changes differently. Refunds help alleviate the issue like in hearthstone

Yeah, easy fix for this is give the player compensation for nerfs. But knowing how greedy blizzard is...

This seems like an ez fix. If they change a talent then they need to unlock the choice again. Reset it so they can either take it again or choose a different one.

balance tuning in games like this is pretty rare for this reason, but i think blizzard will do it as the game needs it to stay fresh. (at least i hope they will). A decent solution in my opinion is to refund the choice of talent for the talents that they nerf so that you then have the option to pick a different one if it gets nerfed. (of course you could still just pick the same one again if its still the best). I have seen this solution work well in gachas were people spend resources for something that gets nerfed shortly after release

Hi, for me Talents shold be equippable, just the slots unlockable.This said, i think Blizzard waited too long to enter in the Play Store with the 1.000.000th copy of Clash Royal. Is not a fresh idea, is not a f2p competitive game... is just a grind machine to let f2p people leave disappointed after months of frustration, or gather river of money from player that never asks themself if the game really deserve them.

I agree with your solution but it is rare when Blizzard does the right thing for their games lately.

Biz pov, they will nv give respec. Thats w most if not all blizz game. Even if i was most tempted to get the arclight bundle, the difference between f2p and just arclight bundle, u will still face a paywall, just at diff ranks. Im enjoying rumble as it is until eventually im bored of it.

They already have the pvp set up in a way to balance such things. Instead of changing the units to such an extreme. Change the pvp rules to balance the meta. I hope they just stick to that thought process.

If they're gonna change or nerf talents that can be bought with actual money they will have too at most refund gold and let us keep the talent their f up tbh i dont see any other way too fix it not jus talent refund a whole refund on the character n we should be let too keep it or i quit 🤣 i actually put some money into my baron in the way of buying the black Friday deals only for what? Too get nerfed😂??? Blizzard????

Personally I think talents should be equipable items basically. I may have a build/team that synergizes with one talent and another team that uses a different talent. I should be able to have the same unit using different talents on different leaders at the same time.

This is by design in my humble opinion. Dump time and maybe money in the meta mini. Balance change hits, new meta, new minis. Need to dump in more time maybe more money... Rinse and repeat. Today's mobile game designers aren't focused on the people they put off with balance changes, they are interested in the players that will spend time and money following the new meta.

Game is dead for me. Got to level 10 quests and thenpaywall kicked in big time.

As a f2p player, I had fun for a week. Now I uninstalled. I hope those that stay with the game have fun though. There are way better games for f2p players.

At no point in this game does it rain gold, its extremely clear you get about 1/10th of what a "fair" amount would be, i do think a refund of talents that are nerfed for their gold back is probably the easiest way

Raising baron to 5 gold, and dropping syl to 5 seems like safe short term changes, and some of the talents 100% need nerfed the difference with and without for some is literally a 200% diffference
