Can This ASMR Expert Give Cat and Ben ‘Brain Tingles’? | This Morning

Ойын-сауық

It’s been claimed that ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) can help with issues such as anxiety, headaches and insomnia. From hair brushing to face tapping, whispering and crunching, it’s the ultimate ‘tingly’ experience. Kellie Ripley - owner of the UK’s first ASMR clinic - claims to give customers the ultimate sensory experience and will tell us more about the growing phenomenon, before a live demonstration.

Ben and Cat are so annoying and quite disrespectful to Kellie who was trying to demonstrate asmr. Its not the Ben and Cat show! I'd much rather have Josie presenting, she is so natural and likeable and doesnt interrupt continually.

What’s the point in these things if you’re just going to talk over the guest the whole time? Just shhhh and listen. So annoying. Couldn’t watch it and I love hearing about asmr

If you're going to have someone on your show demonstrating a skill, at least let them do the skill and not talk over them. You both were so rude and dosrespectful

He has ADHD. As someone with ADHD, he’s hard to sit still and be quiet especially when trying something new. They aren’t used to the ASMR community, and they are just commenting how they feel about it. They’re talk show hosts.. of course they’re going to talk. This isn’t a normal ASMR video. If you were expecting that, then go watch actual ASMR.

I have had these ‘tingles’ in the back of my head and down my neck right from being a small child. Whenever I mentioned it to my mum she would have no idea what I was on about, so I learned not to talk about it. I guessed it was just me! Then a few years ago I discovered ASMR videos on KZread and found it wasn’t just me!!! Others experienced it too! It really is the most lovely and relaxing feeling-I feel so lucky that I get to experience it. Especially as it seems not all people do.

I first remember having the tingles at school, when certain teachers would speak, and I'd get a weird nice feeling in my brain. I guess that's what it was. It was so intense to me that I didn't want the teacher to stop talking. Nowadays it's not as intense and is a bit hit and miss. But if someone has a great voice, I sometimes get the feeling again and makes me think don't stop talking, I love the feeling.

If you have the opportunity to visit Kellie at the ASMR Live Lounge in Portsmouth, I highly recommend it ❤ I recently treated my niece to a session with Kellie and it was everything we expected and so much more. Kellie is an amazing ASMR artist and it’s really wonderful to see this gentle, relaxing practice becoming more mainstream and accepted as alternative therapy for relaxation and healing. I experienced ASMR from a young age at school - when friends would plait my hair or we would whisper in the library. Certain soothing and calm scenes in films would also give me the calming sensations but I couldn’t ever explain it until I discovered early KZread videos and a whole world of people also experiencing ASMR. If anyone is suffering with shock, depression, anxiety, trauma and all that comes with being a human in a troubled world, then please try this gentle practice. Your nervous system will thank you for it. Wishing Kellie all the very best & my niece and I will be going back for another session as soon as possible! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks cat is not the right one for this job. I loved watching Ben and Holly in the past, they bounced off one another and the episodes were full of fun. Holly didn’t talk over people, neither did she push her fellow presenter into the background. Also Holly wasn’t into touching them either, Cats hands touch Ben’s knee every episode. Please get Holly back and with Ben. Ben’s sense of humour is being stifled with the lifeless Cat.
