I agree both hae and Lily deserve main vocals but lily is slightly better than hae. But hae is not that underserving for main vocals. She literally deserved that possible alongside lily. And she is one of the best vocalists in kpop.

They don’t have official positions, but it’d probably be Sullyoon and Kyujin as lead vocalists. They’re the 3rd/4th best in terms of technique and they also get more lines than Bae/Jiwoo.

in NMIXX qualifying Lily & Haewon sang Destiny Child's song even when they were trainees they both sang Naomi Scott - Speechless, Lily & Haewon have also been paired to sing a song at a wedding, the two of them were often paired together. You can tell indirectly that JYPE hinted that Lily & Haewon were the main vocalists of NMIXX.

It's hard to stand out in a group with great vocals but Lily definitely has one of the best voices in the entire industry! 😆

NMIXX reaalllyyyy has the strongest vocal line in 4th gen. All members are vocalists and can support, but haewon and lily are the main vocalists.

For those saying Nmixx has two main vocalists… they technically don’t have any. When jyp was marketing the group they said that they have no official positions and every member was known as an “ace.” Until this day they have not given them any. Only other sources have said a person is a main vocalist and those aren’t official

NMIXX are JYPE’s first girl group full of members that can ALL sing and hold their own. Even the two rappers can sing really well but their position is rapping. Haewon and Lily are both main vocalists of NMIXX and they are really good singers! Although of course they have their own strengths in how they sing.

I love the jiwoo appreciation 🙂 she and bae vocal tones are my favorites

Its just that when you hear Lily's voice its so natural and pleasant but its different with Hae. Hae's voice is more thinner and more strained while Lily's voice is really effortless and rich and so clear and pure, Hae's voice is like falcetto and she's using power, and Lily's high notes feel natural like its her real voice how she talks easily and not trying to sing.

배이는 목소리가 유니크하고 고음도 낼수 있다. 그녀를 제대로 언급해주지 않아서 아쉽다...ㅠ 규진이랑 같이 가장 많이 성장한게 느껴지는 멤버이다.

Nmixx does not have fixed positions just general positions (Vocalist, Rapper, Dancer) and not specific positions (Main/Lead Vocalist etc.)

Can I just say that this whole video is like a dream come true for me. People who don’t watch kpop, but are life long singers, especially people who speak English, recognizing Nmixx’s talent and especially Lily’s crazy talent. This is what I want for Nmixx so bad. I want the world to know about them.

i challenge the two girls to do this for girls' generation. snsd is really known for having one of the strongest vocal line with a five-membered vocal line and they have two main vocalists. i suggest they should listen to mrmr, i got a boy, and the boys. those songs are insane and those songs are when they are still nine members bc the one who leave the group is also part of the vocal line. this is why we should use the ot9 mvs. fans would love to have an snsd content like this

I mean, after Jessica left it became kinda very obvious who the main is since the gap is stoll quite big. Jessica, while still not comming close to Taeyein still managed to act as a bridge between Taeyeon and the rest

​@@spamc25 Main positions were labeled along with Leader tho, not Lead or Sub positions but Main vocal (Lily and Haewon), Main rapper (Jiwoo) and Main dancer (Kyujin and Jiwoo) were mentioned by the members and even from some shows, also their predebut videos kinda showcased it by choosing what members "unify" to present the vocal and dance line. Similar to Aespa, they do not have official positions but members and official site labeled Ningning as Main vocal, Karina as Main dancer and Giselle as Main rapper.

The fact that both of them can guess correctly all the 2 main vocalists of NMIXX. Really professional.

I would love to see a video like this with Dreamcatcher, please!!!

nmixx has no official positions so i think fans will always have this long time discusion on who are main vocals, etc.

The difference between Lily and Haewon imo are only one.. she has western way of singing.. so she has thicker voice.. I don’t know if biologically it’s different between people from the west with people from the east regarding vocal cords.. but we can see the difference in the thickness of the voices..

i really like this type of content, it prove so much that a role in a group isn't just a role, each role are all chosen objectively based on who did the best. and they also explained why and how the chosen member are capable to that role. i had watched the other video (guess the main vocal of zb1) and i also saw the main dance role one, i would like if you do the rap version too since many people (especially in kpop) underestimate rap so much to the point that think rap is easy. as far as i know, rap and singing is different, it have its own technique even tho breathing is also a major thing in it (just like in singing). ive saw a lot of kpop enthusiast whenever the vocal line of any kpop group do the rap they go "omg (...) is so good at rapping!", but all i hear is just singing faster... it doesnt sound like a rap to me... i'm not a rapper myself so, perhaps an explanation by some professional rapper would help a lot.

actually Lily ans Haewon are a Main Vocalist Duo u can especially see it in the Surviver cover by Haewon and Lily . Lily is more comfortabel with higher tones but being a main vocalist isnt only about the High notes but about the technique Haewon is More comfortable with deeper sound and together they make a great Sound they also have a chemestry bcs Haewon was JYPs ACE Trainee and placed 1st everywhere and Lily Also became 2nd In Most of the Evaluations!!

Reading comments sucks! So many backhanded comments especially to my girl Haewon... Just because u/we are used to seeing other groups having 1 main vocalist doesn't mean it goes with NMIXX as well. Knowing that the group is freakin' so talented, it shouldn't even be a surprise having 2 main vocalists at the same time (Lily and Haewon)... The fact that it is declared that there is no official position and how other groups (Twice Jihyo & Itzy Ryujin) acknowledge Haewon as one makes it obvious that she is in fact a main vocalist...
