Did you wire these directly to your computer or did you use a dac/amp ?

First audio review that swayed me to a purchase. I still have them connected to my iMac using USB. I originally tried to use them as fronts in home theater but they were not dynamic enough. They work great as computer speakers in a near field situation.

These new Encore and beyond versions do much better for dynamics. If you have an OG set I get it.

I've owned the T1E's since they were first released. Your analysis is spot-on. In flat DSP mode with the compressors off and a decent sub connected, these speakers are truly incredible at their price point. I've also owned the Fives and, exactly as you stated, the subwoofer integration falls very short of Vanatoo's performance. These speakers are also detailed enough that you can really hear the difference between a very good digital source and one that's just okay.

I preordered these and got an RSL Speedwoofer 10s for my first living room setup. After placing everything it sounds fantastic. All the upgrades are well done. I’m really impressed with Vanatoo. I agree the only thing they may need is an app for the settings, but honestly as little as you’re gonna change them once they’re setup, it’s not necessary. I do wonder if they’ll ever make a sub to compliment the T0 and T1E!

I love my T0s (OG) + SVS SB1000 Pro combo on my desktop. The only thing I'd like to see them do to improve them (again) would be to add a mobile app to set them up instead of the current (awkward) method you have to look up in a grid to figure out. Otherwise, they sound great once setup for your particular placement.

They cost a lot (at least for me), but I ordered them in cherry color from their website. I did extensive research before buying them, but I was concerned that I was spending too much on them when there are so many well-known powered monitors cheaper than these. This review allayed my fears. I live in a small apartment and wanted compact speakers that sound good on their own without needing any other audio gear. And in the future, I can always add a subwoofer as the subwoofer integration is seamless. Yes, they are expensive, but I intend to keep them for a long time, and there aren't better-performing compact speakers at this price point. It also feels nice to support a small American company that has been making excellent speakers for a while now.

I'm still rocking the Vanatoo T-0 for years now. Love 'em. This is the year I might get the T-1 Plus. If I do, I'm thinking of painting them white with Plasti Dip. I already have white Kanto speaker stands.

I have the T1E with a speed woofer, and I agree with your assessment. My only problem are the tweeters. Very fatiguing to my ears...I put a felt ring around each tweeter and it helped. What are your thoughts on the new tweeters ?

How does the Vanatoo T1e+ compare to the SVS Prime Wireless Pro with the sub-integrated? It appears you can tune the crossover freq and treble on the Vanatoos. Thanks

Keep it digital in most cases. I prefer Fiber for ease of splitting, but USB has some advantages.

The Zero's Have the best sound Stage!!!!! Crazy I have spent 10K on speakers Oh Yeah they were MUCH Fuller and Richer.....BUT DAMN These pups have a Real sound stage!!!!! Put a Good SUB with the zero's and Close your Eyes....Try Pink Floyd Wish you were Here..... OMG Money does not =BEST .....

Just get the Vanatoos. Also add a sub later if you can. It's a crazy setup. Have them paired with a Rel sub and it's a madness.

Vanatoo are the Toyota of Speakers. Small adjustments.

MAYBE the new D90 mk3. But Unless I know what you are using in the rest of the setup I cannot tell you if you will hear a difference.

@@ValterSuriZis if you're looking to spend money on a new DAC there's only a handful that I can guarantee will be better than the lower end topping. Smsl su10 or X, something from Denefrips, or the new hi-fi ef600. How you integrate that into the rest of your setup is up to you
