I’m just annoyed how Shady thinks with a revisionist historical perspective. All those guys Acho named were special coming out of college at their respective eras. The fact he kept saying everyone is good in college but acts as Caleb Williams is not also under that scope, he has the best situation to be great as a rookie but he still has to prove himself

In no way, shape, or form is Caleb better in college than Tebow, Cam, Vince Young were in college. Those were legitimately transcendent type QBs at the college level. I would argue if he's even the best ever USC quarterback. Does Matt Leinart ring a bell for Shady ?

Cam by the eye test was also crazy too and accomplished more. Go back and watch his 2010 season. You may just be too young to remember those players and years

But that’s the problem. Acho always wants to play “ word gymnastics” when he can get to the point. He’s literally auditioning for something else and this genre doesn’t translate to what Acho is actually interested in. He makes the show terrible. I’m not saying that to personally attack him. He needs to move on 😂😂😂 I actually think Marcellus Wiley & Emmanuel Acho were the perfect pair!!! Their vocabulary & the way they “verbally paint” pictures to make points were 2nd to none. But to each it’s own.

Yup he nailed it and Shady's "everyone's special in college" take while saying caleb is special is exactly what Acho was getting at. Every number 1 pick looked different, or special, thats why they went number 1. In a few months, we'll really find out if caleb is special or not and expectations of a really good talent on a notoriously bad organization for QBs should be tempered

sam Bradford was absolutely special. I grew up watching shady become the all time leading rusher for my eagles but he is dead wrong. he was an insanely accurate passer that threw absolute lasers. people definitely had all-time projections for Bradford and if his career wasn't derailed by injuries he just might've been. shady makes it seem like he was just ok or terrible even. if "everybody is good in college" why can't that apply to Caleb? I think Caleb will be great, but people look special in college and then lay eggs in the league all the time.

Bradford tore the same ACL twice which is really rare in ALL of sports. that can (and did in his case) lead to a lot of insecurity and indecision as a QB because the thoughts of sticking in the pocket too long can creep into your mind and lead you to make fear based decisions which often lead to disaster.

Caleb is a tremendous talent and yes he may bust but he may end up being one of the best we`ve ever seen. The bears have never had in their 100+ year history a qb with this level of talent. No one was excited when we drafted Trubisky because he was not elite in college, he was good and it was a small sample of games. Fields, super talented but in college threw to elite wrs who were 5 feet open from behind an elite offensive line which is why he didnt run in college like he did with the Bears. Pocket presence is elite. Can make every throw, on schedule and off schedule. Extreamly high IQ. And he's mobile. He most definitely is special. What's unique about his situation? He's going to a Bears team that wasn't the worst in the NFL with a now loaded WR room, a loaded RB room, potentially a top 10 OL and an OC that has 3 years experience and has had success in Seattle from the McVay tree. These are the facts. 🤷

Just like Derrick Rose for Chicago.. one of the biggest what if’s… Rose was special… plz football gods don’t let Caleb get hurt by any means. We need this turn around for the whole organization and the city of Chicago.

Sam Bradford was very talented and could have been special. As a STL resident who begrudgingly watched a lot of the Rams back then, they did a terrible job at surrounding him with talent. They kept drafting receivers that no one ever heard of and linemen out of basketball schools 😂.

I expect 2025 for Caleb to finally get his bearings in the league l. also Looking at the schedule the bears should win 8 games this yr. Only one more than last yr.
