To be fair if we look at the past we can actually say how fast we get. We are currently in 24 on the pace of 2019 and 2021 meaning that in 25 we would be as fast as the w11 and the 2020 Generation of cars. In jeddah we currently have the track record and in monaco we where 0.1 sec off meaning that trough the natural evolution of the cars they will obviosly make a jump in 2025 like from 19 to 20 because in both years the rules stayed the same. Maybe we are even faster because we dont know these cars from 22 to 25 not fully yet with lot of teams changing the concept last yr and beeing at the front this yr while 2019 the concept was since 2017 with a few fixes till 2020 (2021 whos the same Generation but the cut in the floor made the mercedes and aston martin concept weaker and the red bull concept with the angle of the car and the floor better). So theres more room to improve in 25 for most Teams even red Bull who has a new concept this yr. So keep a close look at the track records, i do that even this yr, even tho im sad that the fia doesnt Show the trackrecord graphics anymore. 2026 regs kinda sound like 2016, less downforce and higher top speed. So i think it could be from the performance a pretty good catch to say there gonna be like the 2016 2015 f1 cars

Theres something called math you know? They anounced the % of changes in power downforce and drag, you can plot those values and test it, EASY

The rear wing looks like the 2017-2021 rear wing, only the front wing looks like it came from 2005

That front wing take me back to 2005-2008 time.

I think the new '26 gonna suck bigtime. Maybe good top speeds in the straights but slow in cornering. Especially in race trim. A lot of battery and tire managing. This is gonna be a real let down.

We desperately need F1 cars to be slower in the corners! They barely ever brake any more, which kills overtaking.

@@amjan go watch GT cars or something. F1 means pinnacle of technology and speed. Main issue are the Pirelli's, car weight and no refueling. Fix those three and we'll see a lot more overtakes.

@@BansheeRiderNL You must be too young to remember refuelling and why we got rid of it. Almost everybody was happy it was gone. Also, the cars need to be slower in the corners.

@@amjanno they don’t, as the guy said. F1 is meant to be the pinnacle of technology and speed in motorsport, if you want slower open wheel cars then go watch indycar or f2 or f3 or fE where they are all spec series and are more competitive, otherwise just don’t say anything at all 🤦‍♂️

The first thing that I thought of when first seeing the 2026 car was how similar it looked to the McLaren MP4-20, and it seems a lot of people are thinking along the same lines

Top speed will definitely be lower. It cannot be faster. The engines are weaker and the e-power is higher, which is not sustained for a long time. So speed will be ok in quali but not in the race as power is not full.

If downforce is reduced by 30%, with smaller diameter tyres(less drag/rotational mass) these cars will be faster top end if they had a standing 1 mile race. However like you say in race trim in early sim tests they can’t sustain this for a lap. Top speed in F1 has very little to do with power, it’s more drag/downforce related. Indy cars are far less powerful but hit 242 mph at Indy

power has little to do with Speed, the cars ERS system will be able to sustain atleast 700hp for most laps and will most likely have fluctuating power depending on where they are on the track and this will be programed into the cars. the speed will also be controlled by the FIA, this is why on the back straight you see the 2024 car keep gaining on the 2026 car, the significant reduction in drag and downforce will ensure the speed remain over 290kph without the MOM assistance, which all the MOM does is allow for a higher top speed, once again see the back straight the cars batteries can handle the current power level at nearly full power throughout a lap through battery management, but remember, 2x power output, but 3x battery size. there will be management but itll probably end up being just as hard as rn

The 2026 car looks like the 2008 cars with the halo

i'm gonna tell what in 2026 f1 will be: batteries issues, tires management, in the monza gp after few laps no battery and 280kph max speed and as I'm watching f1 since 1992 I will pass all the time remembering the good old times of v10 and v12. Mannaggia chivemmuort from the bottom of my heart

Thanks for the information, but the mod is still incorrect. The x-mode only engages where the drs zone is, and not on the straight before parabolica nor the main straight, which are far longer than 4 seconds. All Videos I have seen, showing this mod have this same problem

Aesthetically, the 2024 one is quite beautiful. The 2026 one looks fat.

Instead of doing head to head races you should do side to side qualifying laps because assetto corsa ai is very bad at overtaking

exactly the difference isnt going to be as severe as people are claiming tho, the point is that the 2017-2021 regs went too much down the speed category and messed up the cars, this is step one in the direction of better racing and that unfortunately means slower cars. but we could loose 7 seconds and still be the fastest thing on 4 wheels so

@@portugalmath I don't understand how you say that the rear wing is the only difference when the front wings are totally different from each other, and I think that this nose and fat body that you say is only on this standard model of car and the teams will do it differently as it is now. I don't really see any resemblance to an F2.
