The many "options" Tesla has within itself as a company for the advancement in technology that will effect every faucet of life on this planet is why I can see them getting another 10X. Autonomy, energy distribution and storage, batteries (production, product, and future sales) as well as robotics are huge opportunities for us investors individually. Luckily we have them all under one stock (almost our own growing ETF) and that's very exciting, but not as exciting as the end result when GREATER GOOD these products and services will provide to HUMANITY will be enjoyed by all of us, including those who never bought the stock!

Although stocks typically rise around this time of the year, this june will be particularly difficult for novice investors. I've been holding stocks with the hopes of selling them now at a profit, but it doesn't seem that way. As June approaches, I'm unsure whether to keep them or sell them.

Only sell if you require the finances. I was laid off and it's been difficult to find another source of income; I'm pleased I started saving when I did. The penalty for sketching are minor compared to what I am going through with my family.

An obvious way to lnvest for a recession is to buy shares in businesses that are likely to experience steady demand even in a downturn. Typically, those are consumer staples, utilities, and healthcare companies, but off course such decisions cannot be made by an average Joe, a financial advisr is important in making this decisions

@@markavelisocal great question. I would first validate the data sources. “Seeking Alpha”’and other self interest FUDster sources are not credible research entities. I seek data sources and validate hypothesis not headlines /FUD AND model outcome scenarios. Conviction is high in a number of disruptive technologies where cost curves will present new opportunities.

'Solving' FSD means improving all it's modules to a certain acceptable level. FSD was already 'solved' when the architecture was designed, now it's a matter of time for all individual neural nets to be trained, and maybe minor architecture updates.

Time will tell. Just drove 400 miles with a buddy today, and we discussed the state of FSD quite a bit. Let’s just say, as shareholders, and multi Tesla car owners, we’re both skeptics about robo taxis ever being a thing.

Cathy Wood seems to think that $2500 by 2027 will be possible and that is more than 10x AND it doesn't include energy, super charging, insurance AND Optimus so what will it be with those included? Tesla has 150x since IPO and could easily do that again in the next couple of decades. I'll be happy with TSLA just getting back to its all time high and then absolutely ecstatic when it 10x (which it will IMO). What comes after ecstatic for when it does another 150x?

It’s great to see ya Dave. The growth curve of the stock will follow the multiple S curves as they become realized. Each S curve has a direct relationship with revenue. Reaching 15-20 M by 2030 3-4x, FSD 5-7x, Tesla energy 3-5x, Robotics 10X or more over next 10-15 years. Estimates are not financial advice. I encourage Tesla investors to come up with their own multiple as these factors become realized.

Autonomy is a joke. Bots are not happening anytime soon. Energy storage is going to become a commodity. The car business is a rough one and their margins are going to keep shrinking. What happened to the hyperloop and the boring company! Tesla’s biggest advantage is selling hype!

Thanks Dave. One quick point on the LLMs + Humanoid robot. If LLMs process and generate text, how does that help them move and manufacture things? Are you thinking of LLMs as an interface with humans to understand what to do but it’s Tesla’s real world AI which allows the robot to move and do the task?

Any system that has repeated patterns can be considered a language with a vocabulary: roads, physical actions, etc. Then, with enough high-quality video of actions ("expressions" in that "language"), you can train a model to encode the meaning of that language and generate novel expressions. This is why FSD is huge. It is a self-teaching engine for automating ANY PHYSICAL ACTION: driving cars, piloting drones, chopping carrots, folding laundry, delivering packages to your door, etc.

One of the best summation on the Tesla front. Very interesting and though provoking. Hope to hear your perspective on what Elon's recent visit to China means. Hopefully China will agree to Tesla's rollout of FSD (Beta) software there in addition to the land acquisition for GS's 2M car production. Will they increase 3/Y production or start a new line for the new $25,000 car. The potential for Tesla is immense in the near future. They have so many projects (like home Heat Pump) that can generate significant profits and reduce CO2 on earth but they are constrained by how many projects they can handle concurrently and execute efficiently. Good "problem" to have for any company.

As a TSLA shareholder, were you disappointed to hear Elon chose to build this LLM company outside of Tesla rathen than within it? It just seems to have too much overlap with what Optimus will need, so the acquisition seems like a given.

The love for FSD is high by many, but I believe the legal hurdles and social acceptance is going to take much longer than many are will to admit. FSD has to be perfect, even though humans are bad drivers in general, FSD will not be given the slack that humans are when it comes to accidents. On top of that, lobbyists will use government leaders to block Tesla every step of the way with FSD. You think the dealership associations are strong, I believe we are going to find stronger power blocking Tesla because they have their interests to protect. I can see this dragging out another decade. The Teslabots will likely have a better time going mainstream. Yes, there are competitors, but few have the scale of Tesla and have put the focus on volume and affordability. When the Boston Dynamics leadership said Tesla has inspired them, I believe that was nice way of saying they realize they have left a huge gap in the market wide open and the pace Tesla is moving, they are likely to grab that market before Boston Dynamics does. Their $200,000 and up robots will be considered massively overpriced next to a $30,000 Teslabot. Before Tesla reaches the market with Teslabots, they will have the benefit of using them in their factories as the continue to develop them. Imagine how hard it will be for competitors to compete against Tesla vehicle manufacturing costs if 80% of the current human labor used is replaced by robots. Already competitors are freaked out over the cost saving of the next gen production line system. Some have been quick to crap on the unboxed methods, but if Tesla is successful with it, the gap between Tesla and everyone else will grow again. Just gigcastings have created a gap and only some builders have followed Tesla's lead. Then you throw in Teslabots to reduce humans from the process even more. Robots which are not for sale yet, that the only real alternative right now seems to be Boston Dynamics with their high cost robots. The Teslabots replacing human labor in most of their manufacturing will create better margins across the board for them. I can see Tesla Semi trucks being sold with a pair of Teslabots or leased with a pair of Tesla bots that would do the loading and unloading of the truck trailers. Think about trucking companies no longer paying for a team of humans to run their trucks. Just one human that can focus on the driving and when the arrive at their destination, the driver can handle paperwork or rest while the Teslabots take care of the trailer. Someday, when FSD is approved for large commercial vehicles, having no humans operating the trucking systems will be ideal. Tesla energy still seems under valued by many. If the Tesla energy trading platform works, it put Tesla in a place where they are getting to do millions of transactions every day, collecting a fee for each one. Businesses and individuals will see chance to make money selling energy and will be buying Tesla solar and battery storage solutions to get into that energy trading market. I could see large warehouses that already use Tesla Semi trucks for their fleet deciding to cover their whole roof in solar and adding more battery storage so they not only cover their truck energy needs, but make money selling energy on the trading platform. There are so many things working for Tesla right now and so many other things shaping up nicely for their future. Bxable homes seem to be moving kind of slowly. I do wonder if Tesla will possibly expand into their quick assemble homes market. I think the AI/Software teams they have, combined with the other engineers and designers they have might be able to rapidly develop a better version of Bxabl is doing. Combine that with their heat pump design and so on, Tesla could really deliver a Tesla home, Tesla car, Teslabots to care for the home, and the green energy system to operate them all in once nice package. This could get Tesla into the home insurance business. The dominoes of where Tesla goes keep getting setup and I believe we will see Tesla knock them all down leading to Tesla being the mega corporation that actually saved the world instead of crushing it for profits.

According to Yann LeCun, LLMs will probably no longer be used in a few years now, so OpenAI/MS's ML advantage might be temporary. As the leaked internal Google document claims "We have no moat, and neither does OpenAI". LeCun and the Google document hints that the big foundational (language) models might be open sourced over time and companies will build systems on top of that. In addition OpenAI doesn't have a huge number of real world data points like Tesla has. ChatGPT-s knowledge is not from the real world, but from how the world is abstracted in human languages. Tesla world abstraction is based on vision and they've already been building an optimized data engine for that. By that I mean the car fleet with cameras, data collection and last but not least the Dojo infrastructure which is a much more efficient ML compute engine then what others are using.

If they execute on all endavours, they probably can. Mainly Fsd , robotaxi and megapack to many 100s of gigawatt scale

U gotta visit Jeju. Make sure u visit Woo-do, which is another island about 20 min away from Jeju and ride a boat around Woo-do. Mountain Han-ra, Nope-se-o-lm trail is the best, which is about 1.5h one awya trip. There r even more favorit places of mine in Seoul. God I whsh I have time to show u around. Hope u nothing but to have blessed time here in my home country.

A little surprised at the one thing not given its due: Energy. Growing faster than automotive, and I agree with Elon, it will be bigger than automotive, probably even in the medium term (to me, by the end of the decade).

It’s always nice to hear your thoughts, but I think in the context of a humanoid robot u never mention or forget to mention the mass manufacturing superiority of Tesla. Even Elon said that manufacturing will be the big differentiator, and I think in the context of the bot that will be the critical part that’s hard to copy/replicate

Forget fsd. Just car sales will reach 20 million. That’s an easy 10x from today. Add to that diminishing cogs and revenue from vertical and horizontal integration… and this my friend is what we in the old days used to call a “cash cow!” One might live off the dividends eventually.

Dave, do you think Tesla has the core software written to operate the RoboTaxi platform in the US?

The stock market moves on expectations, trend, but if you want to talk fundamentals you should mention the Price to Earnings ratio wich is supposed to be arround 66% by the end of the year... really high... The trend looks lateral now, coming from a big down trend, but who knows... Maybe Elon is capable of getting another big rabbit out of the hat, it wouldn´t be the first time. All that I know is that I would keep an eye on that investment...

"tesla isn't a leader in large language models" ... excuse me FSD's road network interpretations, object predictions, and it's workflow of actions it can / will do ... are explicitly based on the autonomous driving problem being described as a large language model. They laid all this out at the investor day in March, saying that it was the re-interpretation of the autonomous driving problem as being a type of large language model that has led to it's rapid improvements.

TeslaBot, Tesla Energy, Lithium Refinery, AI, Chipset Design, Insurance...10x is well within possibilities.

Wow! You didn't even have to factor in Tesla's energy business (solar roofs, battery storage and energy distribution) to get your ten-x assessment!
