Neither can she, apparently. Our female friend, Fred (kid's choice), is destroying her web at 3 am. There's lightning in the distance, web destruction on the porch, and a big yellow garden spider-- or writing spider-- or orb spider-- or zipper spider-- or whatever you might call it in your neck of the woods-- engaging in after-midnight activity. I have read they eat and remake their web every night...insomniac! Or, since I can't find the egg sac, maybe she is getting out of dodge?
