@@ilana8153 it's just a chinese custom. as you can see in the movie, family means a lot in asia, so "fertility" -- on both the man and woman's part, just means "family." It's also a metaphor for "leaving behind all the negative thoughts."

Whoever thought of this scene is a GENIUS!

The gap between 1:40 to 2:02 just hits different everytime and when the lyrics start it sounds like heaven..... Always have loved this film and forever will..

Literally deserved an Oscar for this entire scene, never seen anything like it, so beautiful ✨

7 years ago I had my wedding at this same venue: Chijmes (of course not so extravagant, had a military wedding ceremony instead 🤣). But will never forget that moment when I got to walk down the aisle, it was like my dream wedding come true :)

I hadn't noticed this before even though I've watched this movie like 10 times. But in the lyrics of the song, when Kina sings "like a river flows, surely to the sea," the water started filling the aisle. Such cool timing and using the words to go along with what happened in the wedding!

This scene shows different faces of love based from what the characters have gone through and that no matter how rich and poor you are, love is our common denominator which is very important.

I love this scene so much. How it's choreographed well with the lyrics and how Kina sounds like a goddess and I am worshipping her voice. This clip is the reason I finally watched the movie.

It’s amazing how even though it’s so over the top you still feel the love between the bride and groom (I tend to focus on them instead of Rachel and Nick).

This was one of the most meaningful moment in the movie for me. This showed how much love and caring he has for his woman. Everyone stared at the bride and he "can't help falling in love with her".

Pelo amor deles, mas, também pela forma como ela mostra sua "superioridade" (sem arrogância) naquele jogo com sua sogra, e alí ensina que pessoas valem mais do que sua origem e poder aquisitivo, mesmo que para muitos isso não tenha importância. Sounds like my basement during a storm- power outage, flooding, let the mosquitoes in, I'll play the tape of the singer as the water reaches our ankles and I'm sure someone will be crying because of the mess (it'll be me) so for ten bucks come get married in my basement.
