Planting a rain garden or something behind the kitchen and then plumbing the drains for both the sink and washer out the back to drain into that garden would be a great way to use the gray water. Make sure the soil drains well or you'll end up with big problems. Secondly, although washing outside is probably fun washers aren't made to live outside. Even in an enclosure it's not going to be suited to the amount of moisture it's going to encounter. You've also just created a super desirable habitat for mice and rodents to over winter. They will make a nice nest in the guts of the washer and chew threw the wires. Likely adorable woodland creatures will ruin it in one year if it's left outside.

Great Job as usual - something to think about if you're going to keep cooking on the deck. Maybe add a 6" trim (wood with either metal or tile on the inside to decrease the possibility of catching fire) on the right side and the back so the wind doesn't push the flame toward you or the curtain. Fire extinguisher.

Little tip you can make those curtains look more ‘oldish’ by dying them with tea:) It won’t work if it’s synthetic fabric Black tea gives the deepest color. Boil a large pot of water with some salt in it (use enough water to completely cover the curtain) Allow the tea to seep for at least 15 minutes Wet the curtains Put the curtains in the tea Soak it for at least an hour Rinse the curtains with cold water and soak it in cold water and a splash of vinegar for 10 minutes Dry the curtains

I would keep the tree on the deck too :) have you considered tea, coffee or onion skins for dying your curtains? Tea gives a sepia tone, coffee a deeper brown, brown onion skins give a warm yellow whilst red onion skins produce a green dye..experiment with differnt strengths of 'brew' to vary the intensity of colour or dye multiple times ;)

for the winter weather, you must make sure to close the valve that you should have installed inside the building and empty the pipes because the smaller sized pipes are the easiest to burst, and they'll freeze/unfreeze too often. You could install another Y splitter and drain the lines easily without disassembling anything, or install a garden hose faucet and drain from there.

My dream is for Hannah to team up with an experienced builder to take care of the harder projects like the kitchen and building a roof on the deck . I was asking this myself because I only just realized that he didn’t show up for some time now. I just thought I missed something. Since she is sharing so many personal insides of her life it’s just natural that people care, right? Or has she mentioned that she would prefer to not talk about him anymore?

Why not drain the water out the back of your cabinet onto the ground? Add a length of garden hose to get the water away from the cabin if needed. Also did you caulk under the sink edge (between the sink and the plywood countertop)?
