I think it would’ve been wiser to move into an already built home since you went from condo living to a custom home. But now as parents, I totally get having better understanding on how you want your home to function for your family. I see a lot of floor plans that have the master downstairs and the rest of the rooms upstairs which might work for older kids but when your babies are little, I’d want them closer to me

A coffee table book is a great idea - especially because there are so many awesome wisdom nuggets in your daily podcast (I actually pretty often save an episode in my 'important videos'-folder). I also like the calendar idea. Or maybe like a diary-ish book? Basically a book where you could write your own thoughts alongside of whatever yiu put in there.

Oh I hear you in the closeness of the nursery. My home is set up I think similar to yours and I was a wreck when we transitioned my son! Honestly we had him sleep in our room for his first year and then about a week after he turned one Magnus started sleeping in his room at night. He always napped in there. He actually sleeps so much better it’s just me who still doesn’t like him so far away ! God bless you both !!

Hi, was reading the comments and hope that Tori and Chad are okey with me saying this, but just thought it maybe could help you :) We recently made a video about how we memorize bible verses, with our 5-year old :) which has helped me a lot to memorize scripture. Hope it will be helpful for you too. Its great that you want to memorize

A thought for the daily meditation thing (from a non business old man)... maybe a daily email with a small monthly fee ($3-5). A photo, verse, personal application or prayer paragraph... As a non businessperson, I wonder if you recoup your costs on a coffee table book. My wife is a writer and those things are spendy to produce. Anyway, really enjoy your vlogs. They are a great inspiration.

@@lattesandnamaste for sure! we really focused our home around hosting so our kitchen/living room space is very big. In the grand scheme of things we only host a large group of people about 2-3x’s/year so we definitely could have went smaller & just made it work. The other reason is the fact that you have to buy more to “fill the space”! I am a minimalist so I feel like the house almost feels empty because I don’t want to buy things just to have it. Lastly, cleaning. I am constantly cleaning to upkeep a tidy home! Bigger space, more to clean.

Also, we recommend one really good quality pillow to sleep on. P.S.
