A common question when it comes to fieldwork in occupational therapy school is if a student can find their own setting. This, of course, depends on the school, but in some cases, this is possible and a student can find their own fieldwork placement. Most OT schools have an AFCW (Academic Fieldwork Coordinator), but there are many reasons why a student may want to find either their own setting or at least another one.
