Top Gun Maverick could've been a great star wars reboot: Maverick/Luke the old jedi hero that the government doesn't appreciate, has to train new up and coming jedi or pilots to fly a trench run in the neo empire's death star, has previous drama with Han & Leia's son Roster. All the story beats were there for a perfect revisiting and handing off to the next generation.

Hate to say it, but they’ve lost me. I haven’t enjoyed anything Star Wars since The Force Awakens and Rogue One

@@cooperwolfe5478 I am surprised I didn’t, because I like Rian Johnson’s other movies, so I was actually somewhat excited when he was announced as director. I thought Mandalorian S1 was okay, I wasn’t a fan of Obi Wan or the the rest of Mandalorian. I have not watched Andor, but have heard it’s good

I tried to be optimistic after The Force Awakens. But even then I wasn't exactly thrilled about the direction they were taking the sequel trilogy, another "Empire" and knockoff A New Hope with a Luke-like character AFTER WE JUST HAD A TRILOGY OF THAT with the previous episodes seemed oddly weird to then again repeat but I was still tryna be optimistic, seeing where they were gonna take it because maybe they could surprise me. Nope. So I thought "okay we can move past this, we got some good movies so far under Disney, more mature stuff like Rogue One and even Solo was a fun romp" that gave me some hope. It was only until Kenobi that I lost all of it. They really started hitting on what I considered canon and there's been too many misses now that I've accepted LucasFilm/Disney don't care about what the fans want at this point. They don't listen to us, even when they did with Rise it was worse than Last Jedi and ever since then they just stopped trying it seems

I honestly am not at all excited for any Star Wars projects other than 3 projects, Heir To The Empire Rogue Squadron (not sure this is even happening tho) Dawn Of The Jedi And ofc the third Jedi game

I tapped out after rise of asswalker. Came back to give Obi Wan and Assoka a chance but i regret that so I’m out for good. Won’t waste another second on Star Wars. Gonna skip the next movie and see Dune Messiah 10 times instead

Honestly they need to leave Star Wars completely for at least 5 years. No more live action stuff for that long. Then reboot the sequels and have a creative overhaul with people who actually care about Star Wars e.g. NOT KATHLEEN KENNEDY

Starwars movies are done. Leave it be Disney. Keep it animated and low-budget.
