I don't think so. I think they can understand the concept and can replicate it but they can't ever feel or experience it like humans. I think robots are the equivalent to sociopaths.

If the technology is advance enough. I think they can. Our emotions are mere chemicals that convey electrical signal. What about the robot then.

@@nguyennuskrad6697 but I think it must be difficult. Our emotions that are influenced by these chemicals are so unique. Like how our heart feels when we're in love, how our stomachs can tingle. How we can blush and act - like talking louder or quieter around our crush. How we can panic and get really self conscious. How we look into their eyes and feel like it's the only thing in the world at that particular moment. Like all these little things, these feelings we feel and how they impact us and how it makes us feel. I don't think it can be replicated or made I think it's too unique

In the near term A.I.s will be able to emulate human emotion and expressions, although they may not possess their own experience, feelings and consciousness. But as technology advances those lines may begin to blur. Perhaps one group of A.I. will be true psychopaths as you said, pretending to pass as human without experiencing anything remote to what a human being experiences and therefore tricking and manipulating those it interacts with. But if technology advances to the point where we can accurately replicate a synthetic version of the human brain and its neurochemical processes, and an emergent consciousness, then the outcome might be very different. This will happen in tandem as humans begin to augment themselves more and more, becoming less biological and more synthetic in turn blurring the lines further. At some point in the future, it might be silly to segregate and separate "human" from synthetic persons since there will be so much overlap that the line of demarcation will be impossible to trace, or simply irrelevant.

I agree with this comment. Robots cannot love because they do not have the heart element, which is even more powerful than the brain element. What we are bestowing upon the robots is the brain element, giving them a nature of impulsivity held back by ultimate logic. This allows them the ability to replicate emotions of the human nature, but not to authentically feel them. Creating a breed of artificial sociopaths...

You know a mystic... like Bhudda. You know a mystic... like a oracle or a shaman. You know a mystic... like Tesla, who learned science in his DREAMS. You know a mystic... like someone doing the Ganzfeld Experiment. PLEASE RESPOND I must know who the prophet is... ...or maybe this is a fictional like Star Wars, Harry Potter, lord of the rings, planet of the apes, judge dread, but NOT H.P. Do people not get what AI stands for. Deriving learned Emotion from Algorithms Etc... from the input or acquisition of data from the environment is still different than the innate emotion of Love for or between Beings, Souls, Spirits, Thatans Etc... It may closely resemble or Mimic Emotions but there is so much more to being sentient which a true being, soul, etc... relies on unconsciously for the most part but experiences when in the state of Love in its varying forms and levels. We are unwittingly creating a better trap for the Beings, Souls, Spirits, and Thatans that we are, binding are immortality to the material universe.
