    Brakes, often the last thing people think of upgrading when it should be the first! I really love that brake manufacturers like O'Reilly are putting these nice looking, rust proof coatings on their rotors now - I fitted a set to the front of my GS460 last year, and it just lifted the look of the car that little bit not having rust visible through the wheels. I'm not sure if it's because of the channels I watch, but I really have seen much R35 wrenching content so this was great! When the seatbelt electronic pretensioners kick in, you know you've got some good breaks - for me it was moving to Pilot Sport 4's that got me into that zone - the seatbelt gives you a nice hug 🙂

  • @balcorn9211
    @balcorn9211 Жыл бұрын

    I hope your friend is doing a ton of track days! From what I've heard carbon-ceramic rotors need some heat in them before they have maximum stopping power and that steel rotors are the better option for street use. I think the main benefit of going carbon-ceramic is not fading from heat soak during track use.

Is there something you specifically know about the r34 that is different? or is the r35 even quite heavy compared to those previous models? I wasn't under the assumption that any of the GTR's were particularly light compared to other sports cars like the EVO or Subaru STI Thanks for any info in advance.

    I have a brake related question for the car guys. I have a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan and, it goes through brakes fast. I asked a few folks why and a Dodge mechanic told me it's because the pads and rotors are too small for the size of the vehicle. He basically said it was a design flaw from the factory. I was advised to try slotted rotors but, does anyone know of a better solution like, what Jared did here? Maybe a way to put bigger rotors and calipers with little to no modifications?
