I would think, in general, that arena might be difficult because the 1vX games you have done well at always included the early killing of one or two players. Regardless, it's incredible to see how big of a skill gap between players. Great content.

I like how you told us about the secondary wall in Arena not being too close to the primary wall, and later you gave us a very good example of why this is at 21:31. Gotta love when stuff comes together like this.

Nice video, thank you, Hera! Better luck next time! After you nuked greens horses and could have brought some guns back to defend. Maybe 10-15 guns or so, as you already saw yellow wanting to push north. Then you could have continued to push red and kept yellow at bay, maybe? Slow army is really tough, true, but I had expected you to push red much faster, right when green bailed. I loved how you considered every building this fight. Looked so clean! I think you needed to push into green as fast as possible. There were three minutes (22 to 25ish) after you had your castle up and busted his walls but didn't rush right in. It probably wouldn't have made a difference, but I sensed when watching you almost "respected" him too much. Your organs weren't being lured into a trap the poor guy was just panicking (like I and most viewers would have).

Really excellent game as always, but honestly I think going against this many players on arena is almost guaranteed to be a slowly losing battle on account of how much the walls fundamentally dissuade early rushes. Allowing these players, even low skill ones to boom often will just lead to death no matter what you do. (I think if there had been only three you could have managed personally)

OHOH I see Hera, that was exactly how i placed my houses vs you in the arena game that i went vs you :3 (me Green Magayard Player)

Maybe try a black forest map with the organs... that would be fun to see!

What you were missing was bbt as a Portuguese main that's a must in these cases because you are investing your pop on fatoria so you gotta get pop capped with army and start pushing with bbt to secure the ground reason is literally what you see you need a big mass and you can't pitch the fight so you now have to force them to pick the fight you want because it's hard to push because of bbt

Is there a way you can set your pop to the equivalent of the 4 players (800 pop for you, but still 200 pop for them)? Might even it out a little more in the late game.

One crazy way my friend and i won a 2v4 (after our teammates were defeated) was to put everything into a single deathball, let the opponents destroy our bases and simply roam the map with our deathball until we'd destroyed everything

i still love the series even if i think 4 is way too many to kill alone. if youre gonna play 4 i think you need to pick the map like amazon tunnel or something so you can keep them in front of you. id like to see you try vs 2 1800ish players. Whats the highest ELO you can kill 2 at once? Also in chess, Hikaru Nakamura does a YT series where he would sacrifice the queen early each game and see how high he can get his ELO on a specialty account only for that strat. Id maybe like to see you do something like this. Maybe like you can only make UU every game or have to tower rush every game or something. the "I DOUCHE EVERY GAME" account would be classic, especially with new Persians coming

It's possible against 1800s only if he has the same number of starting vills/TCs+400 pop and they have 200 pop each(just delete houses when it goes over 200 available pop limit), might even be able to defeat 3 or even 4 1800s under these type of equal pop/equal starting vills/TCs since the only limit is on micro.

@@ayazing456 Pop limit doesn't matter. He will never reach it. Max level to be competetive vs 2 is not higher than 14xx.

Dunno dont forget these guys are 900 elo, maybe something like double castle drop on two of them as same time with quickwalls would work and that could make them panic enough for Hera to snowball from that, something like that.

@@EugeneOneguine Right, Hera would have won with a mobile version of his army here. The closest I can think of is Conqs with good micro. I play a lot of fast imp Turks and cheese wins off of much better players than myself (I'm 1700 in Teams because I only queue Arena and have a very good FI Turks, but I'm more of a 1200 player by knowledge in 1v1s haha). Normally I'd say Turks could do it, but I think it runs into the Organ Gun problem of low mobility even after you massacre one person... Maybe if he had gone for a 1 TC all in to guarantee a 1v3 instead of booming?

@@FS4SS I don't think he would win here though, even with conqs. 4 players on arena is too much. I don't understand why everyone's saying it "looked close", it didn't, not even remotely possible. Hera wasn't even under Green's TC and all the other guys were already in Imp. It was so lost. I think he needs to go 2 TCs semi-boom with Conqs, against 3 players. I'd like to see that.

Only feitoria for income, everything spammed with bombard towers with bombard cannons inbetween to snipe the siege lmao The only strategy i could see working against 4 - and thats also not really winning, just not losing instead. Well played as always. vs 4 that know what they are doing and are coordinated it just seems impossible.

I think your mistake was attacking green first, the weakest player, and then continuing to attack green instead of moving to control the middle of the map.

You might have a better chance with a Turk fast Imp and kill one player immediatly and then from there steam roll. You should not run out of res bc you can take them in others bases. At the end they had too high numbers.

Do 300 pop next time

The problem for you is the population pop! You should get a mod where you can get at least 400 population. You will have a better Chance!

Dumb as it sounds i wonder if going for a basic Huns CA, Tarkens would work. They can manage most armies, have mobility, and can take out enemies without using siege

No chance on arena when you can't do damage until like minimum 14 mins in.

Sad to see you get run over by multiple armies and having no way to produce enough army to fight all the directions. Higher pop cap could be the key to giving you a fighting chance. Just 225 or 250 would double the amount of military you could have and let you fight two sides at once. Sadly, it's starting to feel like these games are unwinnable.

I love your content, but man, watching you get whooped is soo much funnier.

I'm sorry guys but it didn't look close at all. He wasn't even halfway through one player as he was already getting trebbed down. In some Arabia games I agree that it looked like he was about to win, but here all the other three guys were untouched and all in Imperial, it was absolutely over.

So I understand why players, especially higher level players, delete walls at the front of their base in any game sometimes, but why do they do it to the walls in the back and the side on arena thereby opening up those little side clearings? Besides freeing up access to trees in a few spots, actually keeping some of the gates and walls there would provide an extra layer of economy protection for the lumberjacks and whatnot you put there, no? Is space just considered to be that tight on arena? Are they still in the way of something? Just annoying? Real players don't let their defense fall that far anyway?

Konniks are thee best agains Organs Guns. They have no chance.

4v1 is too much i think, there is always 1 guy who can make a crazy boom and come with 50 paladins out of nowhere or something 11

Actually vs4 800-900 players Hera have chances. Maybe need faster civ like malay, or more powerful in imp like Mongols or Bohemians. Vs 3 should be easy for hera , even i collected that achieve on exactly same map and players between 800-1k elo.

Feitorias aren’t really worth it you are so much better going vils and more army.

Hera, I think you are biting off way more than you can chew in some of these games. You are one of the best players in the world and it clearly shows in each of these games but I think the population difference and resource differences are just way too high. You would have to quickly take out at least 2 players to win this game.
