You should grow orbeez in a jar that is half water and half oil, fill it accordingly and “then” drop the orbeez in so they “coat” in the oil before getting to the water and see if that prevents them from absorbing water or not!

But that wouldn’t pull a vacuum because wax can contain the air bubbles, if there were any.

if they did it when it was lit the flame would go out because of no oxygen and if it was the wax then it would pull out any bubbles if there was any otherwise it would just dry it :)

I love Grace she ia younb and full of energy but yeah it's not the same without Nate an Cali they are the BEST and will stay the BEST... They just make TKOR. If Nate and Cali quit they can just cancel TKOR....!!!!!!

You also have to think that Nate and Callie have been going full blast for over a year now with just them. So they deserve a little break.

Every experiment is fun, but what makes TKOR even more fun is there's no report waiting at the end of it lmaoo

You should try this experiment with gummies like haribo bears those also asorb some liquid

You guys should consider wearing UV blocking glasses when playing with UV flashlights in a dark room. Your irises aren't going to protect you when the room is dark except for the UV source.

A lot of commercial farms use a version of orbeez to help plants and trees get through drought periods.

I just did a similar experiment last week! Mostly it was to see if hot vs cold, and covered vs uncovered etc. But I also had a separate test using everclear and 50/50 everclear and water. Everclear had 0 growth. Most of the beads had barely any growth with the mix, but the clear ones grew fully-- but had some kind of flaw and air bubbles formed inside. If you do another of these, do try vodka or some other alcohol mix maybe? (With ofc a don't try this at home for kids)

I like the new intro including all of them of course but Kevin seems a little awkward leaning into the photo cracks me up

When I worked as a flooring installer, if the cement contained too much moisture and presented a danger to warping the hardwood flooring, washing the floor with vinegar was one of the methods we'd use to reduce the moisture

The orbeez in orange juice reminded me of those calipo shots. Don't know why.

You know you can let them sit and dry out and you can rehydrate them again, but they melt in the hot Florida sun

acetone, frutopia, clear school glue, food dye, blood, ice water, resin, uv resin, windex, coffee, liquid hand soap, jello, pancake batter, melted butter, hot chocolate, molten wax, soy sauce, cough syrup, beer, vodka, pickle juice, meat drippings, hairspray perfume, lube, mother oil, and diaper rash cream

Use roses with tonic water they do a better job of absorbing into the flouer ... works great with food coloring.

I think in the other liquids they start to pull the water but the pores get clogged by impurities. My hypothesis is if they were kept moving they would absorb more water from the liquids.
