Bigger car means bigger deformation zone. better safety. a bit the opposite of the theory that the heavier cars are safer. totally wrong, the fact of having a bigger absorber is what makes deceleration more progressive then the curve of the force of impact is more mild and less agressive, then less injury for us.

Yes it may be FWD but it is pretty light, lots of torque, hard as nails suspension, sticky tires and an aggressive diff. It is a very track focused car! As are a lot of modern performance cars. Which one will be more comfortable and entertaining to drive on the road? The M3, by a country mile. More than an hour in the Type R and you'll need physiotherapy afterwards!

HeytoyoubudiV2 People will say that the m3 is better in their opinion, Im pretty sure if you gave them the option to put a modern engine into the M3 they would accept it and then race you but they do not have that choice so they cant actually win but their personal opinion is the M3 is better.

I loved this video. Both cars are amazing. I drove my date to her graduation ball in a borrowed Yellow BMW E36 M3 back in 1998 and loved it ... more than the date. I owned the previous generation Honda Civic Type R FN2 and absolutely loved that car with some fun at a race track and chasing a Ferrari 360 Spider through a twisty mountain pass while my beautiful wife screamed for me to slow down! Now I own a BMW X3 xDrive 28i with it's naturally aspirated 3.0 liter straight 6 motor and I'm loving it #LivingTheDream #EnjoyingTheDriveThroughLife PS: I had a client take me for an extremely fast breakFAST run in his Porsche 911 Turbo S pushing over 580bhp. I have never been so scared in my life. When I got back home I apologized to my wife for scaring her in the Type R ... it's scary when you're not feeling the response through the steering yourself! But ... I absolutely loved that breakFAST run even though I was scared of becoming a paraplegic. I'm okay with dying, I just don't want to be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life :/

no point; the m3 would win the civic type r has a terrible 1/4 mile time of 14 seconds that's slower than a focus rs tbh the only thing that makes the civic type r special is it's a fwd and it was amazing on the nurburgring meaning it corners exceptionally well but rwd is better for a race car in general any day

Everyone calling the type r a rice car are forgetting that practically every car manufacturer is now making cars with turbos. Japan were early leaders with turbos way back in the 80's with cars like the Cordia turbo, GTR and in Australia the Commodore VL Turbo that used a turbo Nissan engine. Then the 90's the 200SX, Celica GT4, Mitsubishi GTO, Supra, WRX, Evo lancers etc and now Merc are doing the rice thing with their A45 etc. Na is the past turbo is the future.

  • @MrBEAN584

most of the lost power can be restored with filter changes, oil changes, spark plugs and wires. you can also use an oil aditive to regain some of the lost compression. but the oil, filter, plugs and leads are about 80% of the powerloss

Euphorica Suspension and handling is NOT just new parts bolted onto a car. The geometry of all the parts is just as important as the quality of the parts installed. Minute adjust of all parts greatly changes the handling ability of the car they are bolted to. This means the chumpy at the start of this video most likely wrecked his cars ability to handle. He is NOT an engineer for a race team, he does not know what he's doing in regards to his cars performance, especially when he goes and does something so drastic as radically altering the car's ride height. Raising the car's ride height by as much as 1 millimeter counts as radically altering. Tiny changes in one part greatly affects the abilities of all suspension components as it changes the forces acting upon those components. As soon as he turned a wrench on the M3's suspension, he voided the lap times the M3 would return. This test is meaningless.
