5:38 - We take things personally that may not be personal - Here's often the key!
Really relevant for me ... I'm studying Mindfulness course at Monash Uni and this is a link adding more depth to the subject
Thank you for posting this great explanation on how mindfulness increases psychological resilience. I started my research a couple of years ago and I am writing a thesis on the subject but it was thrilling to hear my hypothesis confirmed by such revered experts.
Amazing pointers right there.... Mindfulness helps us to shift from the persistent negative thoughts that overshadow us and giving us an alternative thought to those negative thoughts.... It's time we separated our negative thoughts from the present....It's hard to be in the moment when you are persistently going through those negative thoughts over and over again.Let's forget about what happened to us, what people did to us and just be in the moment!
Thank you for posting this. Great interview, I love Jon's clarification with the use of words to describe how we relate to our story.
If you want to decrease the stress in your life, reduce the number of things that U take personally that really aren't about you.
this has just given me another 500 words on my dissertation; thank you Jon!!!

I fell that his words only be fully understood if you practice mediation.
Amazingly insightful content! If you share my view, a similar book is a no-brainer. "Rising From Within: Unlocking Your Innate Power to Conquer Adversity" by Vincent Starling
