I must say, I never would have noticed if Legend hadn't pointed it out a couple videos ago but I am enjoying how turning on Closed captioning for the first 20 seconds is like a fun little extra joke. I'm sure legend would get bored if he did them every video so I wouldn't want that, but it's just that little bit of extra fun, like a 2 click scavenger hunt.

Enticity would be such a great player (On stream) if he could pay attention for longer than 2.5 seconds consecutively, or stopped talking and played because he cant do both at once for some reason. That's why he wins multiplayer tournaments, because he stops talking and plays.

Love your recent work mate, not always been a fan because of the negative attitude, but lately top tier content!

@legendoftotalwar: i found it helps to turn your back to the enemy if you want to lure them away from their formation. Also i had better success with units of similar speed compared to the unit i want to lure. On very hard battle difficulty i use the fact that the AI refuses to shoot small characters to lure single enemy units out of reach and then gank up on them

Please, release some new Guides for Legendary Lords, that was very entertaining.

yeah, even if they might get outdated in the future, they're still entertaining to watch. I still go back to his tier list videos every now and then even though some of them are hilariously outdated now.

The best cavalry doomstack imo is the Chaos Knights of Tzeentch stack. Super expensive, but also easy to use and extremely strong in auto-resolve. Not super optimal in sieges, but otherwise works fairly well against pretty much everything.

I think the very best cavalry based army, is going to be Volkmar with knights of the realm in his campaign with the campaign bonuses and Volkmars insane buffs. Not to mention you can get 3 different types of knigts of the realm from the campaign mechanic which absolutely slaps.

Its not that Reiksguard are strong in AR (armored cavalry, so its not bad), its that Chaos is still brutally underestimated. (Alongside the other usual suspects like Vampires, Dark Elves, Ogres or Tomb Kings.)

Were there any armored units in those WoC armies? I generally see Chaos Warriors when I fight them and that's where I would anticipate this doomstack having a bit of trouble

i assumed anti-infantry might refer to animations that might help them clear blobs, like a kroxigor having a splash strike each hit

Not really the animations, but their speed and mass. The tooltip literally even lists those as potential reasons for it. Matter of fact is, ALL cavalry is anti-infantry by the very design of cavalry units, because they can pick their engagements with most small units, and they can charge them and disengage at will afterwards. It is just that some cavalry also have an anti-large bonus, which makes them extra versatile. In fact, only like 2 cavalry units in the whole game have an actual bonus vs infantry, or at least that was the case in TW2. They just don´t really need it.

@@Riwillion I've checked it and it looks like that Black Knights are the only cav in game to have bonus versus infantry. Oh well, they are the best mid tier not Brettonian cav in the game and that bonus helps them a lot

Impressed with the ai this looks fun. Kinda cool for the computer to use our own strategies against us. WH3 ai seems either really on or really off

imagine if the AI was adaptive and learned how to fight based on how you fight. like if you cheesed the AI a certain way enough times the AI would start to adapt to said strategy.

@@mahartma tbf. they no longer have rampage, so they lost their biggest weakness. Mobility is always going to be an OP stat in the hands of the player when stacked.

I'm not exactly a Total War pro and I play on normal but this doomstack has broken the game. Last night I absolutely stomped as Franz when normally I find his campaign difficult. Nice one.

I'm so confused. Normally the AI comes at me as soon as possible, and if I have cav the ai will send a spear unit after it which will follow it all over the battlefield so I can never leave them not moving for too long or the spearmen will catch up. Probably because I always have artillery.

I believe if the ai is the defending they will not charge at you until they take a certain amount of damage. If they are the ones attacking you then they will charge straight away. I think that changes if they get reinforcements coming in.

Sorry if I missed it in video but what unit size is this battle/most battles? Having a hard time choosing ultra or large

Do Heroes actually recieve boni for infantry when on foot or for cavalry when mounted? Or do they ALWAYS count as Heroes and just as small/big units targetwise?

Heroes on foot are considered infantry, if on any mount they are large. Some heroes are large by default, like giant river troll

I think in karl's army the reiks are just better in every way (stats), the chicken are better for generic lord and more efficient if you use heals considering that the entity have more hp

In franz's army they are similar or slightly better combat wise, but they are way cheaper. So cost effective wise they are better then hippo's with franz

Why ai thinks is good idea to sacrifice single units instead of using whole army

Could you do showcases of good early/mid-tier armies with a quick guide on how to best play them? Doomstacks are fun to watch, but watching them isn't particularly helpful since they are so strong already. I enjoyed the crypt horror doomstack since it showed a reasonably easy to attain army at a stage of the game where it's not just about steamrolling the AI. Thanks!

Even in WH2 Karl made reiksguard anti large after level 12, but his trait was buffed, it didn't lower their upkeep cost. Classic legend clicking foe-seeker at the beginning of a duel instead of using when the lord/hero is tired. Why you always so early? 😜

I think the enemy forces corner camped because the Empire forces kept yelling "no lingering!" So the demons were like "oh, you don't like lingering, huh?"

In my languege "german" there stands infantie deflect kind of so they perform oke in a bloop with holding the ground instead of anti infantri charging

Pretty lame that archaon can have such bad stacks late game. Why wouldnt ai use warband upgrades and he has mostly chosen or chaos warriors by now?

They have to auto resolve so usually some units gets nuked and ai don't get massive exp for units unlike wh2, Ca should give ai WoC exp bonus for units
