Hey vauxrez, you have to take the valves out, there are plastic canisters on the end where the valves move in the aluminum, first check these before you put everything back together. With me they were already loose and 1 was even half worn away. you do not want these parts to end up in your cylinders.

just bought a spare manifold to repair the worn pivots that actuate the flaps ' managed to get some 10 by 5 by 4 bearings as well as star clips if i need to relocate flap spidles

pure genius - what was the case, was it p300 301 302 303 304 314? how the car acted after your fir Sir? i'm curious, since I am dealing with mentioned issue just for so long...I've replaced spark plugs ignition coil as wel..both twice and the car is getting ups&down on rpm metter till it heats up to 105 defrees which is the thermostat opening moment, afterwards it works just fine and rpms are still at it's level (roughly 780 + - 30 ),before i'm getting like 300-400rpms wben breaking or some plus mentioned p's above, i've noticed that unpluging egr valve makes the car 'stronger' like and it seems that problem is not that touching...i've hard my issue might be related toward inlet manifold, the car has 250 kkm , compression is just fine as i reach 180 on spedometer (same engine zafira b z16xep)

Hi, your videos are great. I had similar ticking in my zafira b 2005 1.6 petrol. I had loose baffle plates and swirl flaps. I resealed the baffle plates and done the bearing mod on the swirl flaps, car runs like new. I am now worried how hot the area of the bearings get and if it will melt the glue? Any ideas. Hey a have a question, what was the symptoms of these bearing worn out? I have a Astra h 1.8 xer and on take off or under load it struggles for second or two , consumption goes sky high , no eml present whatsoever

The only real problem I had was a lot of hesitation at all speeds, engine jumping/jerking but the main reason I did what I did was to try and cure the tapping/rattling noise which turned out to be a much bigger problem as explained in later videos

Thanks for your comment That's a very good question I drove the car for about 1500 mile without issue before I swapped the engine I am planning in the near future to do a series of videos stripping the old engine so I will make a point of investigating the bearings

I think they were 5 mm X 10 mm X 4 mm MR105 but I can't be 100% sure as it was over 2 years ago now

How big are these bearings? 8x14x4mm???

Thanks for answering, Mine is 103,000km I recently bought it and watching several videos, I was worried about the bugs you mention, 1, The intake with the plastic system, 2, the system in the injection that is involved I imagine I still have quite a few km left

terrible video.....camera is not even on what you're doing most of the time.
