Can it be fixed? Johnson Fare Box Model D Part 2

Alrighty then, I tear deeper into the counting mechanism of this seized Johnson Fare Box, finding out what's stuck and what isn't...

Is there a trick to the 4 digit/token/s.ticket dial as opposed to the 5 digit? After cleaning my 5 digit works flawlessly but rhe 4 digit will not spin at all even when the gear appears to be engaged and the mechanism is completely un-seized/un-gunked. Possible I need to disassemble the mechanism entirely.

All cleaned and mostly reassembled, that's the last thing I need to troubleshoot for full manual operation I believe and then the motor comes next!

So your counter is marked "S TICKET" at the 4 digit window like mine? How deeply have you disassembled the counter?

@@cjholmes4329 Correct. I haven't disassembled them beyond the point shown in this video. That plus a kerosene bath was all that was required for the "cash" dial. Pulling the other one apart will be tonight's project.

@@minimum_maintenance Sounds good! If you still have trouble I acquired 2 more fare boxes and I'm tearing down one of the counters now. I can make a video detailing how the "transmission" switches from coin mode to token mode if that will help. Have fun with your project!

@@cjholmes4329 turns out it just needed some serious convincing for the first few revolutions. Everything is fully reassembled except for the motor box and manually working perfectly now. Last thing to do will be to work on the motor. If you end up having to tear those dials down further I would certainly watch a video anyway, what a neat mechanism. Thanks again!
