I'm quite shocked that they know the past history of the Philippines being once colonized by two Western countries. As a 17 year old, Indonesia seems an interesting country and given the fact being our nearest neighbor country. I plan to visit Indonesia someday.

FYI, since elementary school we learn other countries starting from Asean countries. When we are in junior high school, in geography class, we learn other countries outside of Asean countries. Geography is one of my favorite lesson cause it can really help us too see the world better especially in foreign culture.

ASEAN is also actually taught in the Philippines, but unfortunately, it is not an important focus. For example in history and geography, the books only focuses on (initially) the Philippines', then to Asia( in general), and the the World's....I really admire Indonesians for having such a good knowledge about the Philippines, this is an apparent result of teaching ASEAN as an important matter thru books and the school curriculum

Filipinos looks just like Indonesian. I remember a lady in a shop here in Kenya though I was Indonesian and asked me if I happen to know this person. And told me to tell her that the yarn/wool she ordered has arrived. I have to tell her that I'm not Indonesian. I'm Filipino 😅

I think Indonesian and Filipino word for flag 'bendera/bandera' is derived from Iberian colonization legacy word, Indonesian got it from Portuguese while Filipino from Spanish.

Actually sir,there are many dialect that have spoken in every places in the Philippines,but there are two official language that we speak, Tagalog and English, English is considered the official language use in all offices business.

Karena kebudayaan 'Santeria' di ritual agama Katolik, jadi kalau gak salah ada acara jalan mengarak patung Bunda Maria terus ada terpilih satu wanita paling cantik nanti didandani seperti Bunda Maria ikut diarak juga. That East is Southeast Asian Malay Austronesian. All of us in ASEAN countries are somewhat Indo-Chinese. The gene pool really looks similar. There Asian Indian heritage in us-epic Ramayana.
