Halliburton under 20 in 5 out of 6 games. OG can eat up Pascal. 2 seed v 6 seed. Home court. Better coach. Better chemistry. Better star player. I don't know what you want me to say. what do you expect.... they are a scoring team only. No defense, no rebounding. Teams like that are not built for postseason when the game slows down. It's an interesting clash of styles Knicks are top 10 in both offense and defense, Pacers are 24th in defense, if those cancelled each other out and it came down to rebounds well guess what Knicks are the best rebounding team. If it came down to turnovers guess what Knicks are twice as good as Indiana with turnovers. If it came down to intangibles/star power guess what Jalen Brunson has the edge over Halliburton especially a slightly injured Halliburton.

Meanwhile the second seed is also missing an all-star and they beat a team with 2 all-stars, one of them the current MVP of the NBA. He was supposed to be injured, but still managed to play the entire series with a 33ppg 10+rbp averages and a 50 points game. Yeah, it makes sense, the six seed is better... Why are the Pacers 'disrespected' when the pundits pick their opponent? It's only an opinion.

Knicks are a top 10 team both offensive and defensive rating .... #1 in offensive rebounding, best rebounding % team... Pacers are by far the worst defensive team in the playoffs, were 24th in defensive rating, 24th in rebounding. It's a total style of play difference, but the Knicks are solid on both sides and the best at rebounding... while I'm sure Pacers will have their runs and will score, you can't flip a defensive team around in the playoffs as easily as you can flip an offensive team.

Pacers are probably the worst defense team in the playoffs and probably the worse defensive rebounding team in the playoffs. The Knicks are physical and get after it on the glass. The finesse shit isn’t gonna work against them. Not to mention, an injured Dame was able to get whatever he wanted on offense, imagine what Jalen Brunson(a guy who scored 40 in three straight games) is gonna do…. Knicks in 4 or 5. And I only say 5 because I can see the pacers having a hot shooting night from 3. That’s the only thing that can save them.

Him really saying that the Knicks benefitted from reffing is one of the dumbest things I heard in a while.

The key to the series is can the Knicks stay away from fouls. They only play 7 players. If they get into fouls trouble then they will lose. If they can stay away from fouls then it could be anyone games

Everyone is saying the Pacers have no defense, but you do realize the Pacers are going to make the Knicks look like they have no defense when there offense is flowing, and everyone is getting touches. If the Pacers play there pace this series, they will be very hard to stop.

Knicks fan here. Knicks are not overlooking the Pacers. It will be a good series. Pacers are a great offensive team but play no defense. If Thibs doesn’t play a 9 man rotation Knick will be in trouble. Siakam will have OG and Auchiwa to deal with. While Haliburton will be up against Donte, Hart, and McBride. Knicks can also play small ball utilizing Auchiwa and Sims switch ability on defense. Knicks are the more physical and better defensive team.

It's NOT that the Pacers are being disrespected. It's just that their style of playing is a hit or miss type of thing. People want to see more of a gritty & physical style of basketball just like the Knicks vs Sixers series was. The Pacers don't play that way and were lucky that Giannis & Dame didn't play together to grind it out. Also, the Pacers are NOT very intriguing against a team like the Celtics. So that's why most people would rather see a Knicks vs Celtics matchup in the conference finals!

The entitlement of Knicks fans can be unbelievable at times, especially for a franchise that only has two championships in 77 years of existence, and none in the past 50 years. The Yankees they are not. That said, these biased prognoticators are consitently forgetting that even though this is a 2-6 matchup, the Pacers only finished 3 games behind the Knicks in the standings. The East from 2-8 were all very close in record. Indiana is the same caliber of team as the Knicks, and aren't dependent on one player the way the Knicks are. New York tries to play slow with a 7 player rotation. Indiana plays fast with a deep bench. Indy's speed and depth are going to wear the Knicks out over time. The longer the series goes, the more it will favor Indiana, because their players don't play the minutes the New York players do, plus Indiana is probably better conditioned from running all the time. New York may win, but the odds makers are clearly stoned, heavily favoring the Knicks so much.

Also: We beat them 2-1 during the regular season. When we won, we won by 14 ppg...when the Knicks won, they won by 4. So there's that...Plus, early schedule, with only one day of rest between games, favors Pacers' youth, fast pace, and depth as the series progresses.

Pacers still blew the bucks out in 3 of their 4 wins. If the pacers play their pace it’ll be very hard for the Knicks. The Knicks were the slowest team in the league this year and the pacers were the fastest. With the depth they have a the constant speed it’ll be tough for the Knicks that have little depth.

“The lillardless bucks” cmon man. The man played 4 games and pacers were 3-1 in those games. How many times in his career do you need to see lillard get torched so bad defensively in the playoffs before you realize it’s just not effective.
