One of the things I'm looking forward to in build 42 is things like this - not necessarily subways (except maybe in louisville and any other big cities that get added in the future), but things like sewer systems and other bits of underground infrastructure to explore.

I already know that my bass will be a sewer base if that hapens. Just a network of Tunnels. Maybe if we can dig our own Tunnels I'm gonna dig my way into Louisville. And don't think the lack of a car will stop me, crashing one down the stairs cant do that much more damage then my normal driving.

2:24 nah my mans was a dooms day prepper sales man as a side hussle and the can opener was for demonstrations for all the can food it can open if you order it from the magazines.

The can opener is completely fair. Opening a can without one is fairly easy in real life.

@@mrrooter601 i'd say it would be more balanced for if the mod made it so whatever you used to open it with took damage in it's durability, so you are still able to eat, but the can opener is still the better option and doesn't become useless

The Fourth Reich wouldn't have had any ideological justification in the games- because as I recall, the average 4th Reich citizen was PETRIFIED of the mutants- and the government was able to use that fear to justify their horrible actions, and as seen in Last Light- the intensity of the Reich's brutality towards it's people eventually start pushing them away, refugees start ending up at the Red Line too.

This is going to become vanilla content when B42 releases, so hyped

likely because they feel closer to what zombies did when they were first introduced in film. theres this alien thing seemingly puppeting around cadavers as a means to do things with its low animalistic intelligence and it thinks your food

They are scarier because they aren't zombies. They are human beings that have been taken over by a fungus but are still alive, being able to see, hear and feel everything but unable to do anything because the fungus is now in control of everything.. Whereas a zombie is just a dead hunk of flesh that didn't get the memo it was supposed to be dead...

There's some mods that let you use knives and certain items that you could logically use as a can opener. I don't mind spawning in one but having to rely on finding other tools and using up their durability in order to eat could be a fun extra challange.

cans are piss easy to open with any rough surface. just rub one side on it for a few minutes and the lid will pop right off.

@@mrrooter601 Yeah I mean realistically there is no way you wont be able to figure out some way to open a can. Worst case scenario you can just bash it open, might lose a bit of the food but better than nothing.

I like the Fallout and Metro vives we're getting from this underground challenge, plus TLOU fungi zombies making it scary to add more excitement

This is a really interesting premise for a playthrough. I'm excited to see how you handle it.

so glad this is happening! i always wanted to see how ppl survive in something like "metro" and tis is exactly what i wanted!

I love the scenarios PZ playees put themselves in. Challenges them to think creatively and outside the box in order to survive.

It always baffled me a little that in PZ you need a can opener specifically to open tins that lack a tab. In real life you can use any knife to open a food can rather easily, or scissors, or a metal shiv, or even a brick if you're desperate enough. As long as it's stronger than 1/32" of mild steel it can be used to open a can.

Me, I would learn trumpet and play “It’s been a long, long time” in that big tunnel. It’s my right as a man in the apocalypse!

This is so good. Please let this be a long series.

another series idea that I've recently started doing, the RV nomad mod and RV interior mod combo is really fun play style, and for challenge you can only sleep in the RV and you'll always have to scavenge for gas and parts to maintain the RV, I've been enjoying it a lot especially with the true music mods too, its like a deadly road trip!

If you find some spiffo dolls, you can simulate Vault 77, the one that has only one man and some puppets.

The coevolution at play between your zomboid skills and the continual increase of ball-busting difficulty that you give yourself for these challenges is fucking crazy. You're like one of those crazy-poisonous newts that garter snakes eat in terms of your power scaling; humbled by your predator (the game) and yet on a whole new level of power beyond it (your zomboid skill compared to other players). I feel like I'm witnessing God-like ability whenever you cook up some new bullshit like this. What the fuck. You're incredible.

There's a mod that gives you various option to decrease the speed of sprinter zombies up to 40%, I used it when I played the tlou overhaul mod. It makes the runner not too fast.

I wonder what will happen if electrical power will run out. All darkness in metro? Also this is even much better episode than I was expecting

It does make the zombies harder yes ! But you can deactivate the oneshot clickers and no pushing features if you want. The goal of the mod is also to require less zombies on the map (I suggest a zombie population of max 0.1) while still having zombies that are dabgerous. Changes from the need to have x16 god zombies to make the game harder 😊

I just set up a server with the mod list and map setting we’re having an issue with zombies just randomly spawning we could clear out a grid walk to a new section of the map and they all return, if one of us dies and tps back(or spawn in safe house) same thing all zombies spawn back in?

It's all fun and games until the power goes out and you're in 100% darkness... :P

I think when B42 comes out, someone will probably create a mod with the subway
