Can I save TWO trashed iRobot Scooba 450s? Scooba not pumping out water - problem solution!

Hi! Kermit the Alien here. Recently I've started collecting broken iRobot Scoobas, specifically the model 450, as i know many people wish they were back, so I'm kind of bringing them back. In this video you're all gonna see how I saved two of them!

I thought i have seen these two scoobas as a pair for sale on ebay kleinanzeigen. I swear they both look identical but they are still for sale. I love those scoobas, too. They are the best looking robots iRobot ever made. Maybe one day i will own one by my self. Keep on making your videos. I love to see them and looking forward to the next one. Hope you'll save at least 100 of them, they deserve it! iRobot will probably never make anything like this ever again...

Hi my scooba 450 is not laying dow water. Pump is ok in a external test with a power supply, pipes are not blocked, water sensor is also ok. But pump do not start when installed on the unit. Seems like the driver pump circuit is defective. I check pump current and I found it a little hi, about 350ma. Do you know the standard current for the pump motor? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi! I have Just bought one scooba 450 second hand, and doesnt pick up the water. I think the vacuum is not working, because i dont hear that “loud sound “ . Can you give me some tips to Fix it? Im going to open it, but i would like to have some help ( vacuum broken / check some clog area , etc ) thank you !

I would check the „turbine” element inside. It contains the suction motor, sometimes debris collects inside preventing the fan to spin.

The scooba 450 has been discontinued in 2016. The firmware updates have not been available since. Your best bet is try to get a 450 variant that says 459 on the back, it features the newer soft.

Please help ! For the very first time, I can't close my Scooba. For some reason, the lock mecanism is not doing his job. I can show you a video if needed. Can't find anything on KZread regarding this issue.

Sometimes the water tank caps can undo themselves a bit, try screwing them in harder. A bit of offset can prevent the tank from snapping in.

@@RestoRoombaRobotRestorations Believe It or Not, I tried to close my Scooba with Duck Tape ! And it worked perfectly :) Therefore, the problem IS the button that opens and close the thank. Amazingly, the button does not sink and the trap door seem to work ?!?
Anyone found a cost effective tire replacement for the 450? I just shoe goo'd mine back on for now.

From what I have seen no, only ones with the whole wheel module but hey, maybe it differs outside of Europe (where I live)

@@RestoRoombaRobotRestorations Nothing in the US. $60 to order from Europe. Shoe Goo appears to have done the trick at least short term. I may resort to large rubber bands in the future... lol
