Challenge: do an actual realistic reno. If you tear out every wall, put support columns where appropriate, don't move the house on the lot, don't move stairs, etc. Just think it would be a fun challenge! Love your content ❤️

A friend of my mum's has a fridge that's got to be at the very least forty years and that thing went through a 6ft flood and was up and running perfectly fine the next day. Food hadn't even gone off and the power had been shut off!

@F Karma yes. no joke. true story. so sad to say goodbye to that faithful freezer. and yes, totally bizarre like something that would only happen in Sims game... but it was In REAL LIFE freezer, in our house, in our basement, been there 30+ years next to where all the power comes into our house.

I agree with Kayla about the “extra goodies” with ordering packs early. The bike is cute and I LOVE it. However, it takes the items away from people who have *also* bought the pack. Not to mention the fact that packs are SO expensive, and it takes some people, me included, a LONG time to save up to actually buy the pack. And the people that bought the pack the day after don’t get the items, but people who bought it a day before them do? Not fair. It seems like they just wanted to make a bunch of money sooner, and I will be sad and disappointed if they do it again. Don’t get me wrong, I love the items so much, but it’s not fair and just seems like them trying to get money as quick as possible.

Also some people don’t have access to the origin website to buy the pack and get the goodies. For example, even though I am 14 and would be able to have an adult account, my account is stuck as a child and I am unable to log into the origin website to get the packs from there, meaning I can’t get the the extra goodies

Honestly the bike isn't that great. I've used it a few times and it's super buggy and takes a long time for sims to travel with it. Also had a bunch of times where it just glitches out my Sim for a while or they think they're driving when they're not anymore. Obviously they want people to pre order or buy at full price, but I don't think people are really missing out if they wait on it. I don't think I'll be buying another pack at full price; I'd rather wait for the sales.

I feel like this may be true, but EVERYTHING in the Sims 3 store literally costs more than $74,000 (rounding down), and the sims 4 is a mere $500 (rounding up). I don't think it's gonna become the Sims 3 store.

@Paige Loren $500 for EVERYTHING in the Sims 4 not just kits that would be insane. Over 74,000 for everything in Sims 3. Those are totally different numbers. I'm not saying that the Sims 4 ISN'T expensive, I'm saying the amount for the Sims 3 is totally insane; and that's rounding up! The commentor's comment is based off of how expensive the Sims 3 was, which was the point. The Sims 4 is so much better in conparison.

@Paige Loren The sims 3 is so laggy. I would rather play the sims 4, than the sims 3. That's just my opinion, no need for arguments and no hate to sims 3 as it is a very detailed game which is it's rise, and it's downfall.

“Sims 4 threatens another kit” is very accurate wording. I can’t imagine the majority of players actually liking kits

@@skullfullofbooks7398 the country kitchen kit did come out months before the expansion but yes I agree with the few items in that kits they could have been add on top of the cottage living expansion as the build menu in the pack was a little lacking However the debug menu was incredible 🤣

I have bought everything but those last two kits. They just seem like a waste of money. Create a game pack or stuff pack to put them in to, I won’t bother buying them, they add nothing to my game.

Sims team needs to make a grungy yucky kit. More scratches, more slimy things, more gross furniture. This is the content we all need in game because vampires and eco lifestyle and strangerville are not enough

OMG YES They sort of did this in the sims 3, an exclusive version of Island Paradise came with a shipwreck/tattered clothing bundle. As well as a store set of a Haunted breaking down House, broken and destroyed windows, so much! Gosh I hope they do make something in the sims 4 someday like that, helps so much with gameplay/story telling!

I distinctly remember in the original Sims game, base game, my child sim one day began to have a thought bubble with a dog in it. Unleashed, or whatever the Sims 1 pets expansion was called, hadn't come out yet. I told my dad that I thought they would add pets into the game. He thought I was crazy, until the expansion was released. Hint for sure, not easter egg because it hadnt existed yet.

@@InBloodChains Could've been added in a previous pack, but since they specified having base game, I'm assuming this person didn't have any expansion packs. It's not impossible they always had that icon in the game and it rarely came up so it wasn't noticed until then, but I'd be more inclined to think it'd appear in a newer expansion. But who knows?

I mean the next thing could be something medieval or castle-ish, bc they added so many detailed ruins in the last few worlds, esp with the spiral stair case!

The 'guts' of rocking chairs are also base game. Peacemaker made a pack of rocking chairs and they're bgc, don't need knifty knitting for them.

I really liked the more realistic approach! Changing the whole floor plan of a house always irks me in renovation videos. Love how this one turned out. Everything you changed made a lot of sense to me.

According to my BF when you said the pink hoodies were restocked it took me approximately 25 second to open your website (which I had bookmarked) and buy a hoodie using Apple Pay. i’m kind of disappointed that the next build kit is “sanctuary vibes” because we’ve gotten a lot of similar things in Spa Day and Snowy Escape. build kits could be SO USEFUL for new styles and types of items and theyre blowing it

Hear me out, The Sims Cluedo.. Mrs Crumplebottom in the attic with a purse.

I saw that the pink hoodies were back in stock yesterday and immediately ordered one for a holiday gift. I’m so happy they came back in time to order for Hanukkah!

Another Easter egg was in Dream Home Decorator - the kids play tent has a farm themed swatch and not long after they announced cottage living.

"giving something extra in pre-orders" just feels like "punishing people who cant afford it at that time", honestly.

Having a mailbox next to the letterbox, is actually quite realistic. At least to me, as my dog eats the post if it comes through the letterbox, so we had to buy a mailbox

Swords in the debug COULD mean a medieval-themed pack, as a reference to The Sims: Medieval. I'm also lowkey hoping for more sectional sofas: they're my main reason to go and buy Dream Home Decorator (the other is the new career). I would like to see at least a few in the basegame, but I don't think EA is going to be that merciful on us.

The Paranormal plates is also a reference to the movie "Ghostbusters." If you read the description of the item is says something like "no sim would stack plates like this" and in Ghostbusters" during the library scene in the first movie there are stacked books and Venkman says, "You're right Ray. No human being would stack books this way."

You're really talented, I love how you made this house look! (Also, your cat is so pretty)

This video made me realize how few people realize modern appliances are built to break after a few years so you have to go and buy a new one so the company makes more money. My mom has a microwave that's at least 20 years old and it still runs. Used to live in a house with older appliances that lasted so much longer than any of this newer stuff we have now. They build them cheap nowadays cuz it's all about how much they can make off of them.

Yeah weird that other packs slid to a halt when kits came out. But we know they're working on Sims 5 so eventually they're going to start slowing down content. Maybe they're focusing on polishing up the base game and then just adding kits to make it feel fresh. 🤔 Unless the lack of kits is because of the base game updates.

Honestly i think the unrenovated version had more character it could use a bit more tidying up but it had something interesting to it that the new one lacked

i think it makes sense that there is a bedroom connected to the kids room bc that kid is gonna be a teen one day and i feel like teens should have their own bathroom plus when the teen moves out either the kid could move into their room, or the parents could turn it into a walk in closet and it would have an en suite bathroom connected. So many possibilities
