I watched Ben win the U16 nationals against the much taller Bonding (also great prospect) and can confirm he’s very tenacious.
I really think Felix your main weakness is that you play reactionary tennis. Your anticipation is secondary rather than primary (you are feeling the opponents play rather than taking charge with your own). This match is a good example. Ben is moving to position with a lot more confidence, you are relying on your speed to get you out of trouble, which doesn't work on a grass court. I would advise working on anticipation drills (perhaps reaction times, reading patterns, breaking down regular plays etc). You need bread and butter to go to rather than trying to add too many layers. Of course all the top 100 players have all the shots, but primarily they all have a Route A that just works for them 80% of the time.

I agree, Felix is being reactive rather than proactive...but that's honestly a hard change for a lot of people. It's a mental shift. I compare it to people who are good at the range in golf and then when they go to the course they forget their swing and just try to hit the ball - rather than trust their swing. But yeah, I wish that flex lost on his sword rather than on his shield.

Ben is a hell of a player and is probably playing British Tour level tennis at least. No shame losing to Ben as clearly he's heading for the top as long as he stays on track.
Excited to see you get into tournaments again! I can see you improving every video, keep it going!
Another great video Felix! Looks like a terrific training session, and it was great to be introduced to another fantastic up and coming player in Ben. Looking forward to continuing to watch you both on your tennis journeys! 👍
Amazing match! I saw how Ben hits the inside out so well. Great effort for you both. You had match points. Tie breaks are really exciting and unpredictable!
Very entertaining, Felix! Reminds me of when I played a 14 year old visiting London from Germany, whose family came courtside to watch him beat me 6-3 in the first set. I was 4-3 up in the second set when our time ran out. Just like Ben, his focus and alertness and controlled aggression were impressive. One thing that might make your videos even better would be some slow-motion clips of the best points.
Felix- Would be great to see you play against British female Pros, (Dart, Swan, Boulter, etc.)

Thanks for another great video Felix. Ben's strokes and aggressive style are super impressive and effective, specially on grass. Seems like a very tricky opponent to beat. Would love a rematch and very keen to see what adjustments/strategies you can implement to take the next one.
Felix, you're becoming a machine! Your level is more and more impressive. All the hard work pays off! Keep it up!
It's kinda cruel how much you invest early in a sport like tennis, and then the outcome depends so much on the height lottery in your late teens. I hope for Ben that he gets a couple more growth spurs.

Recently I went to some U14, U16 tournaments. It is so nice to see. The servs are not massive and the rallies are amazing! I really enjoyed it. I am wondering if there is any way we can follow the u14, u16 matches better ??!!
Hey im reañly morivated by your channel. Its hunbling and motivational at the same time. Loved the video and know you have a different editor now- I feel like the transitions were a bit much. Great content tho!
Last year I had to play an 11 year old (I am 32) in a tournament...I lost 6-4 6-4. Yes I was way more powerful than him, but he could play everything with a much better technique than I and he was fast as hell! I could send him 10 times left or right but everything kept on comming back. After the match when I talked with him and his dad I found out he trained 6 times a week, while I uhh well 1 or 2 hours haha. And he was playing the same amount of years as me (5 years).
That punishing shot against that second serve @5:57 was DIRTY!!!!!
this reminds me of Agassi. Andre was beating UNLV college players while 14/15.

There are definitely certain people who just have a natural predisposition to a certain talent. My favourite example is my cousins fostered a child who’s original family understood nothing whatsoever about music. They introduced her to the violin and she genuinely just picked it up like it was another part of her body. I’m a solid believer that the balance between nature and nurture is pretty even.
What racquet was Ben using?

Cheers to Felix for playing a match against the kid.
Good Fun Video 😂. Might I suggest that in this scenario 6-0 6-0 for you is pretty much the only acceptable scoreline, give or take a game or two. When you Practice You need to Practice with Match intensity and Nothing less. Plus every single person you play in the space is a Potential Opponent in a future Tournament and so you need to assert your Authority even in practice. You seem like a Super nice Guy, But on Tour it is kill or be killed with a smile.
I wish you got 5000 likes bro to see the rematch!!
Not sure rematch will go any different. Maybe he has a 12 year old brother you could try to play next?
Is already over 5k likes, please comment below and state if we are gonna see a rematch soonest.
Another great video. Remember serially winning county championships
He's def going to be top 300 ATP at some point.
The kid rarely misses. Incredible for his age... Also I know I might be a nobody to you for saying this but, try to bend that left elbow more on the backhand to get full speed on the ball. Just like Djokovic,Alcaraz and co. are doing. I don't wanna sound like I'm a pro coach or something of course, but that's just a small thing I saw that could maybe benefit your backhand more. Maybe you could try it and see for yourself. Love the Journey as always and looking forward to more 🔥🔥👍
