Sometimes a video can be a bit difficult to record or not something I enjoy all the way from start to finish. Then other times I get to build and fire missiles for a week straight!! This is by far the challenge run I was most looking forward to out of potentially any video I have ever made on this channel! I really hope you enjoy and I'm hoping to be back to a more normal video schedule in the next week or two! ... Or at least more than one video a month again.

About The Game - "Over 1000 unique components allow you to build and command voxel vehicles from the deep ocean to outer space! Forge strategies, allegiances and fleets strong enough to destroy eight deadly factions of the planet and reign supreme. A genre-defying mashup of simulation, building, RTS and RPG."

    I can only assume that after years of saying "no using missiles don't make good content I can't use them" lathrix had a "remeber who you are" lion king moment and made this.

    The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't. In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was. The missile guidance computer scenario works as follows. Because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.

    37:00 I'm sure someone else has mentioned it, but you can use decos to make things truly invisible by using the "Mimic: Empty" mesh. there's also some other shapes under the "Mimic: xxx" name, like sphere, hexagon, and donut (torus) that are hard to make otherwise. Also, it's great to see you getting more familiar with decos! They're amazing for detailing and personally I can never go back to not using them.

    Some ideas: Spinal mount only, no turrets. The spirit of it is that all of your weapons face forward. Dont get flanked. AI only: no manual weapon aiming, no manual piloting. Your craft is your baby and you must help it spread its wings and fly without you. No weapons that fire more than 60 RPM, or no weapons under 300 RPM.

    I miss the hundreds of missile turret you had on your ships many years ago before APS was a thing. That thing was missile heaven. Great episode and congrats on making to 100.

    A good run! Personally not a fan of missiles but glad to see you enjoy it! A really hard challenge run you could do is a volume limit, force yourself to build dense and high cost instead of spaced armor behemoths. Really play around with the ultra high cost weapons and defense systems

    Beautiful work on all your designs and missiles! Especially with switching up the styles so often, I think they also have a different aesthetic from your usual; though I admittedly have a preference for futuristic designs…

    It’s good seeing the Warlord again, brings back memories of the original Neter campaign with the Medranguard. I hope one day someone is skilled enough to bring the old designs up to snuff, and make an entire campaign using all the crafts you have built over the years.

    Great vid Lath! Gives me warm memories of the Influenza and it's crazy missile spam. Still holding out to see you try a warp capable melee craft.

    Idea for a (possibly painful) challenge; Everything must be hardwired into the AI mainframe. Wireless connectors are not allowed in any form, and all detection, weapons, etc. have to have a physical wire of blocks running to the mainframe. Everything else is allowed.

    Challenge idea: you must use the built-in crafts, maybe sticking to one faction, but you only need to keep the cosmetic look of them, and if you want to build bigger, then you must chose a bigger craft and convert. Great video as always!

    as always great episode, the custom missiles look so freaking cool. If you can't see underwater with an airship, couldn't you drop a couple of sonar buoys? And you could even make a sonar buoy cluster missile to have some more range on the sonar if you're fighting long range

  • @joeffsims7655
    @joeffsims76553 ай бұрын

    Love how often the craft kind of looked like a missile (or two missiles connected up). So even without the cluster missiles lasting too long, we still got a big missile full of missiles!

    I would love to see a video of adventure mode on a ship that consumes no resources and uses only particle cannons. It would be super unique and interesting, and I rarely see people actually use particle cannons as a main gun.
