Just for the record you CANNOT lose the Black Waltz No.3 second fight unless you choose to attack Garnet yourself, as BW will never choose to attack her and if she’s the only character alive it will attack itself instead of Garnet. It’s definitely a unique mechanic and it also helps people who didn’t grind or get good equipment for Garnet on Disc 1 and all.

Yeah Shock is non-elemental, when used by Beatrix it just deals massive unblockable damage, as a Sword Art ability Shock just deals 3x base damage and its element is based on the element of the equipped weapon, so only Ice Brand, Coral Sword, Flame Saber and both Excaliburs can change the element of Shock. But yeah there’s basically no way to survive Shock straight up so early on without being even slightly over-levelled, since even if it uses the same damage calculation as the playable version, 3x Beatrix’s normal stats is too much so early

Funny thing is, you can't lose to the second (broken) Black Waltz 3, if he kills Marcus and Steiner, it doesn't know what to do because it's not programmed (in lore) to attack Dagger, therefore it kind of short circuits and starts to "crack" and take damage every turn until it dies.

We appreciate you going the distance on this one. Whatever you decide to do next, I know I'll be watching

Vivi is indeed precious! He has the same vibe as the petrified characters in the FFVIII challenge. He's at least taking the heat off of your main attackers.

I guess not many people know, but you can get Power Belt for half a price. Initially thief steals 1000 gil from Garnet, but if you press the X button at the right time he'll steal only 500 gil from you. I know, it's just 500 gil to save, but in early game money is hard to come by, even with cotton robe trick, so having such an option to get smth cheaper than you originally would've spent is great i think. Have fun with this info.

FF9 attack only your liver challenge. Drink every time Dansg08 says 'basically'

Ralvurahva, the purple snake boss, is apparently meant to be "Larvalarva". Ralvuimago, the green, is apparently meant to be "Larvaimago". See the wiki pages for a discussion of the etymology.

I seem to (mis-)remember that BW3-2 doesn't attack/kill Garnet.

I remember my first playthrough i put the power belt on Marcus...then he left and i never got it back...and couldn't synth something later that needed a power belt. Ah memories...then in later playthroughs i killed him off and farmed with the Blood sword!

Looking forward to a remake of FF9. Hopefully without all the multiverse nonsense 😂

It’s unlikely they would use the same twist twice, but it could be interesting if Garland is somehow able to reach into Memoria and see that Terra failed to assimilate Gaia’s cycle of souls and tries to change tactics. Perhaps sending a new Genome to be a romantic rival to Garnet and seduce Zidane into joining forces with Garland.

Does it count in your rules as healing if u using the ability Auto-Potion? could be very helpfull for future battles

He does it without magic stones which you need for auto potion. Same with the healing attack garnet and eiko can get.
