@@originalityisdead.9513 I think he’s talking about UFC Undisputed 3, since the game Martial is playing in the video came out back then and was a direct competitor to Undisputed 3. I could be wrong though, I guess 🤷‍♀️.

@MarkusWilson924 That makes more sense. I completely forgot about this game. UFC Undisputed 3 was the last UFC game before it came to the PS4 with EA at the healm, i think so anyways. Its been a while. I didn't like EA Sports MMA, it felt weird.

@originalityisdead.9513 same, I tried so hard to like EA MMA, I know a few people like it but to me the animations look so weird. Like it's more fluid than Undisputed 3 but all the kicks look so weird, especially head kicks. It takes the fighters like 5 seconds to throw a head kick, I'd usually pick a guy like Sapp, Couture, or Fedor just so I had an excuse to not throw those God awful head kicks lol. I will say EA MMA had some really cool ideas and concepts, so I will give credit where it's due. Online fight cards was an excellent idea, and for the most part it worked great. Shame we haven't had this in any other MMA games since. The way the head and body health regenerated was perfect, probably the best damage system I've seen. And the one other thing that stood out to me was the way you could change organizations in career mode. Also I think they did an amazing job with the roster for not having the UFC license. I think they did about as good as possible with the roster. I liked everything but the actual gameplay, just did not enjoy playing it as much as I was expecting.

Still my favorite MMA game I've ever played. Both this and UFC 3 Undisputed were masterpieces

I went backward to undisputed 3 from UFC 2 and I have to say… I don’t get the hype. The striking controls are jank af, the movement feels really sluggish and inefficient, and the grappling is terrible. The grappling controls are more convoluted but less is actually happening, so it’s complicated and boring at the same time. The only thing that’s actually better is the submissions.

I’ve got to admire the fact that In career mode you could go to all different places and promotions and all had different rules and it worked how the rules were

Flash KO was the best things in this game. I won so many online fight with a flying knee one shot. And the online tournament making your own card with 8 guys in the session.

Fuck Bro literally every game is more fun to watch than UFC 4. EA MMA was actually a really great game for that time. Ground game could be better tbh, but 100% underrated.

We need more EA MMA content.

Would love to see more gameplay of all the old mma games, something about then just feels a lot better than ufc 3 and ufc 4

Just so you know you are in fact remembering incorrect. EA MMA came out in between undisputed 1 and 2, when UFC was trying to go the Madden route and have yearly releases. It was a big deal, because the UFC wanted their fighters to sign over lifetime likeness rights, and threatened to blacklist any fighter who appeared in EA MMA. It caused a huge stir because I believe Randy Couture appeared in EA MMA while still under contract with UFC.

Ah the nostalgia. I remember when i had tgis game when I was young. I freaking loved this game and I wasn't yet an mma fan. But it sure got me to love it.

I tried this challenge because of you lol. Took me about 3 or 4 tries to beat fedor with bob.

We was pretty much one of the most famous fighters of the early 00's, for the obvious reasons a mountain of a guy with little to no fighting skill to match, less than decent chin or cardio. You must be new to MMA, to not know about Bob Sapp or Fedor, I guess...

@@crimsontide1980 You cannot deny his power, even tho I think it was a fixed match, Sapp could fight. Not at a professional level as he did, the same with Man Choi or Stefan struvs, not the best fighters around, almost like a gimmicky height thing for sure.

Bob Sapp’s mma record is 12-20 after going 10-5 in his first 15 mma fights(against top competition in Japan at the time) Bob would only win one fight from 2010 - 2016 losing 14 in a row during that time. He did retire with a win though!
