Formation might've saved Team A here. The Jedi and Giant lines were painfully underutilized. Giants spent a third of the fight twiddling their thumbs. If you put Jedi and Giants in a mixed line in front, then armor in the rear and gunners in the center so everyone has something to kill at all times, it probably would've been a handy Team A victory.

Don't forget, the tanks could have literally been driving around killing zombies. Never used up the gas...I would have sent the giants out through the zombie hoard to the outer limits and let them slowly circle back in, while the jedi filled in the gaps for the tanks. Not at all realistic obviously but melee combat against zombies is a lost cause, the numbers are just too much. I think the only way to win against numbers like that is via long range artillery or nuclear if you don't mind a little fallout.

This was part of news coverage in the Ukraine-Russia war. The reason Russia lost so many tanks is that they sent tanks in without infantry support. So an individual soldier can get too close to the tank with explosives or one of the tank busting missiles. In the scenario in this video, having the jedi and giants near the tanks would protect the tanks much longer from actual attack.

Okay, my take: 1. Corners are fatal weak spots. They should either be avoided altogether, rounded off (octagonal or more sides), or at a minimum the defensive rings should not have their corners aligned. 2. The tanks were tough enough to soak up the zombies' attacks for a good long time, but due to their slow rate of fire they weren't that good in terms of zombies killed per minute. These seemed very underpowered for what we know explosive antipersonnel shells can do in real life. 3. At least some of the inner units should have orders to advance to plug a gap if the zombies breach through the next outmost ring. Standing there doing nothing while attackers are pouring in is a waste of manpower. 4. It's imperative to keep the zombies as far away as long as possible. Their greatest strength is being able to simply bury the defenders under hills of corpses. This becomes worse the more the defense perimeter shrinks. The defenders end up fighting at the bottom of a hill the attackers are running down. Defensive fire needs to be able to thin out the attackers while they're still hundreds of meters from the outer perimeter. An open plain is the worst possible ground for static defenders to hold.
Ur the only realistic channel unlike the other's that have 100,000 Roman guards beat 2 miilion zombies great video. 👍
The corners of the formation were the first to break, probably because the guys at the edge gets double flanked. I think if you try the same by disposing the units in circle instead of square you could actually make zombies lose
Tanks are finally overwhelmed and the zombies breakthrough the first line of defense at around 13:15- to be honest those tanks held up against the horde a lot longer than i thought they would. Once the dead bodies started piling up on the ground so much that the tanks couldn't even move i knew it was only a matter of time.

THe idea of the formation of the tanks here was ok. But it back-fired on them. Since the Jedi's and the Giants didnt get to fight till the tanks all got destroyed or overrun.
I feel like your chances of surviving would be nearly guaranteed if you had just a single tank. Button up and there's really nothing to worry about. They can't get in, and their numbers mean nothing, nothing at all, only a few dozen can physically fit around a tank at a time, at worst they might flip it over if enough of them figured out how to push the right way but that's it. Yes, you'd run out of ammo and yes you'd run the risk of clogging up the treads with gore but they still can't get in, they're still just human bodies

Something similar was done in the novel World War Z. To hold off zombie hordes, soldiers were told to form a square formation and to shoot at very strict intervals along a designated target line. With constant resupplying and ability to switch spots with another soldier if one felt tired, and provided the line was holding, it was possible for a battalion to sucessfully dispatch thousands of zombies. And they did, near the end of the book, the zombie-infested US mainland was finally cleared and reclaimed by the military using this very tactic. Of course, in the book, the zombies were slow walkers, this line would not hold against runners.
Damn, my heart is pounding. I snapped out of it realizing humanity was still here. THIS IS NOT THE END....yet.
If it was a wall of Super Sherman, then it'd be a different story. XD

One idea I kind of got from watching your videos, have you ever though about adding in maybe some triggered or "proc" abilities like maybe have jedi knights and also some like "Jedi Masters" or "Jedi Consulars" with powerful force abilities that trigger only at certain times, such as a radial blast that they only use when they are completely surrounded and has like a 5 or 10 second cooldown timer. Also maybe make it so the tanks have a kamakaze "last resort" kind of option where just before their HP reaches zero, they self destruct for large blast radius and higher damage. Idk just a thought. If there was any kind of "last stand" kind of battle like this with humanity vs zombies, would stand to reason that the tank operators would have a self destruct option🤣

This battle is too epic, I thought my eyes got into tear, but just video quality dropped to 144
I’d like to see this scenario with some modifications in how the defenders are positioned: first line should be the jedi or the orcs (or whatever it was), second line the orcs or the jedi or a first line mixing the two types of troops. Third line the tanks on an elevated terrain. A pyramid perhaps? Fourth line the soldiers on an even more elevated terrain. The archer should be on the top of the pyramid or whatever terrain you choose. I’ve seen lots of scenarios like this one, where the tanks are left completely defensless and l honestly don’t get it; what’s wrong in using the defending troops in a rational way? To let the hand-to-hand troops doing absolutely nothing for most of the battle is unefficient, to say it politely; they are going to die anyway, so let them do as much damage as possible with the help of the tanks and the other ranged weapons at the beginning of the battle, protecting the ranged troops as long as possible.

Brilliant!!! You're right, any unit that is standing mobile and not inflicting damage is not being utilised right... Another option given the map above: Line 1 - A fusion of Jedi in front and trolls behind who can hit over their heads Line 2 - Tanks but smartly stacked on the corners as that's where the breach points begin Line 3 - Troops Line 4 - 64 Trolls forming a perimeter around Jedi Line 5 - 32 Jedi forming the inner circle perimeter around Archer The goal is to place maximum defence in front of troops (who are weakest) so that both tanks, troops and Archer have non-stop offence to support Jedi/Trolls - layering a last line of defence around the Archer ensures they should just get over the line with the archer going ape at close range taking down huge numbers while protected.
