Synusia winning in Libya is actually historical. IRL they fought against British French and Italy and controlled all of Libya for the majority of the war. They were so good they got a separate peace with the Entente. But they got annihilated by Mussolini later on.

I hate how little choice this game gives for the ottomans. It wants you to loose and it will go out of its way just so that it can fuck you over. I am surprised that gallipoli isn’t a transfer territory to Britain event like those in the Levantine region. Don’t get me wrong , I appreciate the historical accuracy, I was thought these event in school but if hoi4 was just historical accuracy than it wouldn’t be fun now would it. If I play as the ottomans I expect to be able to reform and to get rewarded for my knowledge of its history not be forced to get destroyed

I think it's because the Ottomans were dying and the War was the final blow, but it would be cool to do a way to save the empire like giving up territory to stabilize then reconquer

Way too much railroading in this mod, it would be interesting if you could mitigate the Ottoman's failures more. Not stop them, but make them a little less bad.

Yeah, I always want to play Ottomans in these kinda games, but so many of them are "The Ottomans sucked, here is your -90% debuff, no you cannot get rid of it." Even Vic3 does it, where if you don't fix everything in like 2 years i think, it just sticks an unremovable nation ruining debuff on you.

this is exactly why i prefer the original great war mod, far more flexibility, and the post-war modifiers aren't nearly as bad. you can actually...play after 1918. revolutionary, i know.

You missed the after peace content. After you capitulated you got the "Kuvay-ı Milliye Problem" event with only one option, "Send the Mustafa Kemal Pasha". Historically, this "event" sparked the "Turkish War of Indepence". I really hoped you would continue and become "Ankara Goverment" but yeah it was a great video! And Ottomans becoming a dominion is kinda historical.

Alright here’s a real challenge play yunnan in the new order but only use historical republic of China division templates

You should try playing as the whites in the Russian Civil War with Historical Presets & Divisions.

Mr. Hill, two questions: One, why don't you toggle off decisions that you don't want to do so you can actually be alerted when one that you do want to do becomes available, and two, do you ever use the medal system for divisions? I don't think I've seen a single HoI4 youtuber even touch it.

God I always forget that! And honestly I rarely use the medal system - it’s far too much micro for too little benefit. I do do it if I’m roleplaying a bit, like with a Soviet guards division or something

I love your hoi4 videos alot. I don't have a good enough pc to play this game but I do know it takes hours for making videos and playing this game. Thanks for all the time and effort put into the content 👍 also the fact that u try to use historical units and that makes the game way harder. Much credit for all the content

A Little tip on the Balkan War if you aren't too obsessed with history: Turn your artillryless infantry into shock troops made of 4 infantry (2×2) and 4 artillery (I use 8) and buy a shitton of artillery at discounted German prices. They bust through Bulgarian lines and can be used to encircle their troops. Use the cavalry and irregular cavalry to hold at greece as greece's army is too weak and doesn't often try to push. And don't make your divisions so large. 3×3+1 infantry and 1 or 2 artillery artillery is good enough to hold the line and doesn't put as much strain on your supply lines (Rhodopes is very bad about this).

During the italian ottoman war its best to place the units around the ports and instantly attack when they land

Biggest frustration with the mod for me. Is how often it just goes "... yeah but history..." and forces a peace deal and such regardless of if you're winning or not. At least it does it to me a lot. Like I could be making good progress into France and it just goes "Yeah but France won my dudes, so peace deal and you lost."

if you win the libyan war and just ignore Asir, theyll push up hejaz but not go into the levant. you can then just naval invade their core territory (its 3 provinces) and capitulate them, extremely easily

Yıldırım Birlikleri or Yıldırım Ordusu was basically Turkish adaptation of German shocktroopers. They didn't win us the war but were reportedly more capable than regular infantry divisions (well Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was a very capable commander, him being the leader of the army group certainly helped). For everyone, don't blame Turkiye for Ottoman problems. House Osman is lurking in Europe still, go take your hate out of them!

Reform byzantium using historically accurate byzantine divisions (light horse = cavalry mabye cataphracts are tanks)

Please do Black Ice Finland Historical Division designs, templates and Division amount, (only have the number of divisions that there were historically) also if you cant find sources use A Frozen Hell by William R. Trotter it has all the historic amounts accounts and division structures

I find it a bit shite that no matter how well you perform you're dragged down by the AI failing and are pretty much just forced to lose at the end. It feels like if you aren't playing Germany or maybe Austria-Hungary you get an automatic loss as any of the other Central Powers
