    If BMW really wants to reduce CO2 then they should make vehicle that would not break down after 5 years and promote right to repair. Not embed design obsolescence in the vehicle! Looks like a paid content.

    Mate Rimac, founder of Rimac Automobili in Croatia, himself suggested that completely focusing on EVs might not be the best solution, and the ICE is still a capable technology for the future, thus aiming to improve on the ICE is still worth it, even with all the electrification

    At some point cars will be taxed on how much co2 they produce from production to costumer deliver, France already said it’s going to implement it for deciding if a car should get or not aids from the government to lower its price

    Those cars shown which are crushed are test cars. They have no tax paid and are in a state they are not allowed to be sold. E.g. pre-production ECU hardware etc. You wouldn't want to buy a car where the brakes might not work 😉

    @@denisk886 Unfortunately that’s not an option for a lot of people, at least here in North America. My city is an exception to this, but until more cities - particularly in the USA - invest in wider reaching and more frequent transit connections, there will be millions of people for whom the best option would to be keep an old car on the road.

    That is in terms of sustainable production process, not ev sales or production numbers. Look at the heading of the charts. Frankly I am not surprised to see Tesla to get 0 rating in sustainability. They are cheaper and big in volume, which is great for availability and sales. But you can not do it sustainably. This is partly the reason why German cars are expensive. You can have it all.

    @@abrarfahim8515 Have ever tried ID4 or ID6? Seen how slow those infotainment systems are? Moreover, EVs aren't made for 10 years 500K kms drive. buy cheap and buy more often, that's what companies want us to do.

    “Sustainability”, lol with that as your priority you’re not selling nothing to the Chinese, or anyone for that matter. Why would any Chinese consumer pay extra cash to fulfill some foreign company’s religious belief? The downfall of any company is instead of listening to their customers they try to tell their customer what to like and how to think.

    I don't understand why BMW abandoned the i8 i3 chassis type with CRFP, because sustainably is nice, but range is better especially with electric car, and on this, Tesla doing better, with lighter cars!!!

    I feel a lot of Comments don't understand what is said in the Video: VW and BMW has OVERTAKEN Tesla - regarding sustainable car manufacturing, which is a Fact. Nobody said VW and BMW overtook Tesla is anything else but a lot of People in the Comments probably only read "BMW and VW have overtaken Tesla" and immediately scrolled to post a Comment instead of watching the Video. Either way: In my Opinion Tesla as of now is still big and popular but they definitely need to stop relaxing on their Laurels and start going full speed and compete with the Legacy Brands in ALL Sectors, including Sustainable Car Manufacturing but also in some other Sectors where Tesla is slowly starting to slack sadly

    The German car industry is not at all competitive in the production of electric cars. They are technically backward and twice as expensive as the global competition, that's why they will fail. The best-selling models in Germany are American Teslas, which was unthinkable not long ago.😄

    Be careful what you wish for Germany. In term of recycling capabilities China literally has endless resources. True that their environmental awareness is not as strong as the Europeans but all Europe (and North America) does is just simply ship the waste to somewhere else…and guess who is the biggest recipient of industrial waste?😂😂😂 Also this report didn’t mention a thing about what to do with EV batteries, the biggest polluters of all.

    China has a huge, I mean huge recycling industry. How can Germany compete? Most Europeans and the West ship their industrial west to China for recycling. Do the Germans have the right technology for proper recycling?

    1st priority is to be 100% electric, do not produce ICE cars, once you are there, then educate the public about sustainability, doing it now looks silly, you are polluting a lot, so your argument is weak and yes EV cars is a marathon, keep running, you are going to be in the podium.

    How did we get into this disaster we now find the world in??? RIGGED COMPETITION from the west. Cozy relationship between manufacturing and government policy. Trade barriers and manipulated patent systems which punish any nation not in the secret handshake society of unlimited money and government policy. What we must have in our world of 8 billion precious humans is cooperation. Friendly competition. What's comical about the west is it's thin veneer of religiosity.
