I saw Ntamack relance against the all blacks more than 100 times, still get goosebumps everytime. It is one of the most beautiful thing I’ve seen in sports history. Yes, it doesn’t end up by a try but it is definitely the game winner for France. Before that the AB were bullying France and this is how France responded. It destroyed the AB spirit and completely shifted the momentum.

Mais ce qui lui permet autant de briller c'est aussi que le reste de l'équipe de France à de bons joueurs en pleine confiance à quasiment tous les postes. The try of the century against England in Twickie in 1991 after a failed attempt penalty and the try from the end of the world in 1994 against ABs in NZ making it 2 in a round, in christchurch where ABs had never lost, in "extra-time" are both pure gems, surely 2 of the top 5 tries in rugby History... In Twickie, I was 19 and was looking it on the TV, the british crowd was so fair, all standing ovation BEFORE the try was even done... I'm not sure french supporters would(ve done the same if it had been reversed lol... In both tries, Saint André was involved... this year, the team he coaches won the french title, very happy for him... it's a pity it didn't work with Les bleus, but certainly a good club coach.

I think if they continue as they have and keep this moving forward then yes, I agree (as a South African). But, the World cup is a way off and I am a South African supporter, there are a lot of new faces coming to the fore in South Africa and abroad. So I would say it is early days still. Very exciting for rugby

Running and passing is what the sport of rugby is all about, and when the French decide to 'turn it on' there is not an international side that can live with them. Fortunately, for the rest of us, Les Bleus' failing is that they are consistently, inconsistent. But, now, they've just introduced the first 'one man team' - Antoine Dupont. Capable of winning Test matches single-handedly. The idea that anyone other than Antoine Dupont will be lifting the World Cup in a few months time, at a stage somewhere in Paris.... is pure fantasy.

The French are the enigma of world rugby. They either play brilliantly or like absolute dog shit, there's no in-between. The sport however is much better when France are strong and it feels like we're entering a golden age of French rugby.

there is nothing in common between old french flair and today, there nothing messy, inaccurate, unprepared and unexpectable anymore : today, everything is wall executed as planned... It is still spectacular and collective thought... but it is more a matter of hard work, skills and gifted generation at every position

i actually watched 4 Rugby Union code games this PAST wknd 1) URC Final...SA Stormers vs Bulls: Quite a boring game..lots of handling errors and basic errors at crucial junctures..it did rain a bit though...but a meh game mostly. 2)The Super Rugby Pacific Final...Blues vs Crusaders: Not much forward GRUNT or physicality..but lots of classic NZ backline power play but nothing much else. 3)The English Prem Final Leicster vs Saracens: Good quality rugby all around..they a rich league so the squad were littered with international players..High paced coast to coast stuff....but something was still missing 4) Game of the year for me... Baa Baas vs England at Twickenham... *Yes..it was an under strength experimental Eng side...but they should still be able to put away a bunch of 2nd stringers from an Invitational side that had only 1 weeks prep and by 1 weeks prep I mean lots of drinking classic Barbarians style. *Invitational side was made of mainly of French Top 14 players..and my oh my...that was the most exciting scintillating edge of your seat rugby I have seen in a long time... I actually felt a long lost childish feeling of exhilaration watching that game.... *The absolute cheek of the French to just throw the conventional game out the window and play with nothing but PURE INSTINCT and with a man down since the 35th min...what a game!! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>..FRENCH FLAIR IS ALIVE AND WELL ALLEZ LE BLEUS!!!

I agree with you, buuuutttt, for a Babaas side they did play it relatively conventionally. Yes the counter attack was scintillating but they didn't take many risks they just fed off England's mistake, and as they got increasingly desperate they became increasingly clumsy
