But they sometimes do take the actual car but not a good condition they take rusted out no good condition and I think they only use cars with no title but in good condition they don't bc the parts are too hard to find and not worth wrecking them but some people not sure why they like wrecking them I don't think they think about getting hurt from the stunts

Coming from an old desert racer, I must say, the Raptor is a most impressive factory vehicle. It's more than most people would ever need but, as far as jumping that creek....... Yea, it could do it exactly like the General Lee. It jumps, it lands, it gets towed off on a flat bed and replaced with a new one. Not to mention the driver that spends the night icing down his lower back and neck.:) That was a fun promo. Great job! Who says advertising can't be entertaining at the same time?

I really enjoyed this video, very entertaining! I LOVE the General Lee!!!! Used to watch the Dukes every week back in the day. One of these days I'll get my '68 Charger since that is the year I was born haha. Props to the team there at Donaghe Ford, looks like they have some cool vehicles and are a full service shop. jim1082 Accidentally jumped my pickup over a set of railroad tracks. Of course a cop saw me do it and pulled me over. Got out of it some how. Spent most my life on bumpy gravel roads in a pickup. So that little jump over the tracks was nothing.

the Raptor may or may not anticipate a landing..but i bet it voids the warranty _and_ requires several thou in replacement suspension pieces. I've watched a LOT of car & truck vids and the only thing that survives jumps intact are either A. Modern Trophy Truck types bc of super light bodies ie plastic sheets, over a tube frame chassis and super high suspension or B. The classic Leaf Spring equipped Dodge 4x4's of yore. They really did drop them from 10' in their commercials in the 80's w/o dmg.

When I was a kid, I saw a Ford Highboy a 1970s Ford Highboy all decked out with a General Lee paint Scheme flag 01 it look pretty damn bad ass.

Going to have to thumb this one down. You should be at a Dodge dealership talking about the new hellcats and or Demons versus the old General Lee as opposed to a truck that’s going to fall apart in a year and a half if you trash it like that. Very disappointed in you sir.😤

I remember the first time I met John in Covington, I had a Competition Orange 04 Mach 1 and he loved the color. Great guy.

This was a very lame commercial, not to mention who’s the audience here? Validating Ford Fanboys and pissing off Mopar Nation? Or trying to convert Mopar fanboys? Terrible either way. No way would I trade in my Charger for a truck even if it is a Raptor. I’d just get the truck and still have the Charger. You could have at least tried to sell me on a mustang. That would have still been futile but made more sense.

@@randytheracer3664 Hell cat only make 700 HP stock the Heliphant makes 1,000 & over 900 ft lbs of torque plus uses the factory superstock block & internals so it's much stronger plus the computer is left open so it can be tuned for even more power with a warranty to boot lol .

I jumped a small creek with my current vehicle. The vehicle did really well, for the most part. The only exception was the front axle. The Dana 30 front axle faired very poorly in the jump. I could dive the vehicle but anything over 35 miles per hour seemed like it was going to shake the vehicle into tiny pieces. I replaced the devastated front Dana 30 with a Dana 44 with chromoly axle shafts and heavier duty springs. I am going to try again next spring. I think I can do it without damage next time.

i had an older one with the 6.2 Boss engine...it never jumped the creek but it jumped a 40' across by 15' deep irrigation ditch many times. Its made for it

How can anyone not like this video...? Awesome video. Love that guy that says "It anticipates the landing".. lol.

I can't believe that I just got suckered into watching a commercial for a car dealer, and enjoyed it more than any car commercial since Cal Worthington stopped doing them.

Because of the DUKES OF HAZZARD, I've jumped just about every truck I've owned, and the ones my parents owned while I still lived at home. My 88 bronco on 1 ton f350 axles, deaver suspension and 39.5 superswampers seems to fly the best, 2nd was my 93 ranger with a LT1 350 Chevy v8 under the hood. My buddies dad had a orange 82 dodge 1/2 ton pickup with a 360 barrel, and it was orange, I jumped that thing at 140kmph and landed 90 degrees slideways on the road, skidded and got light off the next set of bumps and the darn thing found it's way straight again, i about needed new underwear for that one.

No they can't watched several deploy airbags and break in half lol
