its not the water that fuels it. it would run without the water. the water cools the top so the displacer fall fast as it reaches the top gets heated by flame so go's up again meanwhile the air is pushed through the tube to push the balloon up and down. I don't know what speed this one is doing but I have some that can go about 1,30RPM

Cookeriya not as fast but yes it's just cooling the air inside making it faster

it will but not as fast all the water is doing is cooling the top so that the displacer falls faster

Stirling engines work on the basis of temperature difference. Hence he added water. In most models, it is not used.
