Kye, you need to do like we did, mount a damn gopro inside the hood area to watch what the belt is doing. Ours turned out that the idler had the slightest angle on it, letting the belt ride to the back by the blower and knocking the belt off. The 2-step beats the shit out of the belt, but you can also see the slack. I know it will make you beat your head against the wall!

Have you ever tried to put a bright flashlight in each one of the headers to see if you could see any light. Through any cracks or welds that's the next best way to test them other than pressure test. Just put the flashlight in one end of the header tube and cover the other end with your hand or tape it off and then start rotating the header to see if you can find anything

Dude put a camera on the hood facing the blower... great video hope u get it figured out,

We use $800 H700 belts on some of our equipment, we control walk with tension, if they're too tight the walk back, too loose forward. They're not tightened "tight" the teeth do the work.

I banged a blower on my car before and had belt issues the next few races...sometimes it would make a couple passes. then next it would just throw a belt while staging with no load.. it turns out the idler bracket twisted/bent slightly..replaced the idler bracket with new and haven't had issues since..

I see Kye in a PINK CADILLAC in his future. 59-60 lead sled. 20 foot in the front and 20 foot in the back.

I remember seeing Justin talk about a vibration that would come an go and it was loose blower belt.

I good tuner that has good data on a car can take a car that can't get off the starting line and have it flying withen 3-5 passes. Salemis can tune better than most. May not be Petty but they are on another level compared to a lot of tuners. Big Country is another guy that can tune a car. He may not be the beat but he can take any car with any power adder and it's gonna be fast. If he had been a full time tuner like a lot of others I'd bet he'd give just about every tuner a run for their money

Kye watch your car in slow motion as it leaves, by the time your rear suspension compresses and the front extends, and then your forward motion starts, the car next to you has gained a half-car advantage. Your suspension does a lot of moving before forward motion starts. I saw it happen to you last year.

Could be detonation when its on the two step. Thats breaking the belt. Also a cog belt is much happier a little loose than too tight. CHECK the modules!! Detonation or timing control when its on the two step!!

He will be at a couple races but he took a step back from traveling and tuning to focus on his business and kids who are running Jr Dragsters this year. I've got Jeff Pierce who was with us last year still onboard helping tune the blower stuff remotely and in person when he can, and we had Evan Salemi with us in New York helping on the tunes.

At this point I’m questioning if it’s a bearing issue in the blower itself randomly locking up and grabbing for a split second

I know what’s wrong with picture and is probably what’s wrong with the car ,I don’t know why people are there or not there and don’t want to step on anyone’s feelings that are there but I’ve noticed the absence of a very important part of Kye’s team , don’t know his name but I believe he was the crew chief or tuner or something else but I do know that when he was there Kye was very hard to beat and I do believe you won a championship so if I were you I would do whatever it took to get that man back on my team ✌️
