I also rushed through reading Inheritance and that was the toughest one to remember. Really looking forward to rereading it some day but first, Murtagh! Thank you Christopher Paolini for crafting an amazing world and characters.

My problem was that I re-read the first three books before Inheritance came out, in preparation. Then I read a portion of Inheritance, set it down because I didn't want it to be over, and didn't pick it up again for YEARS. To this day, I've probably read Eragon, Eldest, and Brisngr a half dozen times each, but Inheritance only once. It's so fuzzy in my mind. I remember basically nothing except they keyest of key plot points (e.g., hello Firnen). Just over halfway through Murtagh, and I'm getting "I don't want to finish!" anxiety again, but I am NOT PUTTING IT DOWN. 🤣

I read the Inheritance Cycle as a very small child, probably a couple times from the ages of 7-12 but now, at age 20, I sat down a month ago and decided to re-listen to them because of the release of Murtagh and it has been a wonderful experience, highly recommend. I finished Brisingr yesterday.

I started reading the series when I was 11 and finished four in one year and then the next year I found out about the fork the witch and the worm then I recently reread all of them in anticipation for Murtaugh. So it is still fresh enough in my mind.

Impressive how many of the ones not from him he got right!

I remember the inheritance cycle word by word at this point

Ok but does anyone else LOVE when Murtaugh saw the gilded lily in Murtaugh, and he was so confused? I felt so smart- hehehe I know how the gilded lilies came to be. ( also I like how Arya is correct in saying that it could reproduce)

or the flying grass boat early in the book and it makes him happy someone so whimsical is in the world

@@Ayah.Papaya It makes the world feel so much bigger than one book or even a setting for a series the characters get to live in the world it's so good!

@@mildlydazed9608 yeah! I feel like it really connects the eragon and murtaugh, which is one reason why the books are so good. You can tell that the characters DON'T know everything, yet the reader knows more than most. You can see that the characters that exist go on with their lives, even if we don't see them, and I adore that.

I can imagine thorn and saphira *hating* dragons love tacos

Brisingr was originally supposed to be the last book. Eragon was supposef to be a trilogy, but while writing Brisingr Paolini decided that he wanted to explore the characters more and split the series in four. That meant, that he had to explore some new plotlines to make Inheritance longer. That‘s why the last one‘s tone is a Little different from the other books. And that‘s why he doesn’t remember everything so well🤣

I just finished To Sleep in a Sea of Stars, and wondering if there will be a sequel. He definitely left an opening for one.

I listened to Murtagh twice. I always picked up on the clues dropped early in the story that have meaning later on the second listen. (Audible)

I want book Galbatorix and book Oromis and book Brom and continue Eragon.
