Remember, just because you reduce friction doesn’t mean you reduce wear and vice versa.

I just started running liquimoly 5w30 molygen new generation. Got rid valve noise on my K24. it also improved more smoothness at higher RPMs. it was a instant difference. LiquiMoly makes great stuff.

Liqui Moly does not recommend using any additives with their 5W-40 Molygen oil as they claim it upsets Molygen's balance of additives. However with their 5W-40 Leichtlauf they recommend adding Ceratec, which is basically MoS2 with ceramic particles added.

I think the power difference is down to the guys spraying water on the intercooler after the oil change vs not spraying it with the Castrol in it. Lol. Not sure what the point of the video was other than to advertise Liqui Moly. Also the other oil was used for 2k miles. This is by no means a scientific experiment. Just fun and advertising for Liqui Moly. 👍🏻

Exactly my thoughts.

i recently changed to the Molygen 5w-40 and the engine actually sounds quieter.

You would have been better served running the Dyno on just the Molygen first before adding the extra additive. Their claim is the Molygen already has the correct amount of moly in it.

Golf mk 5 2005 1.9 TDI., 290 000 kms, i changed the oil one month ago,. That thing went from a Tdi to a GTI. Idle smooth, smooth engine noise, improved acceleration and turbo response, heat is lower too. I live in mountain roads and i need that torque , acceleration and driving confort. I just changed, bearings, disk and pads and few others things to make the chassis up to that 1.9 tdi running perfect. Perfect ! Molygen, is not cheap, but that is a correct way to enjoy the car for many more miles.

What the difference between SAE 5w40 and the normal molygen

В 2021 году я заменил моторное масло на Liqui Moly leichtlauf performance 10w40, хороший продукт, а в 2022 году я заменил масло на 12 000 км, взял присадку ceratec и в качестве моторного масла ставлю liqui moly leichtlauf mos2 10w40 тоже хорошая смазка а потом использую присадки liqui moly для очистки системы впрыска бензина и клапанов!

3-4 hp is well within the margin of error here but cool trying! Really need 3 runs of each and average them - I didn't see that buy maybe you did?

When did this UV feature become available? I wish my mechanic knew about this in 2016. Took forever to find the oil leaks.

They can always use dye lol been around a longtime, this oil just has the dye in it

Liquimoly recommends not adding any other additives to their molygen. Longer of their engineers say that mixing in additives add different/conventional oils and hinder the molygens molecular friction reducers.

@@wasimsiddik7450 Liqui Moly officially does not recommend adding any other additives to Molygen oil except for MoS2 at a 4% concentration, but I wouldn’t add any personally. I use Cera Tec when I’m not using Molygen. Cera Tec is really the main additive they advise against mixing with Molygen

@@SirBJH non molygen with cera tec is better but molygen is more economical. I’d do cera tec every 20-25k miles since it has a chemical coating that lasts about that long, and molygen in between

So I put the LM Next Gen 5w-30 (green stuff) in my WRX and my mpg has gone down a few. Engine tone has also changed (lower like engine is working harder). Car has 38k miles. All previous 6 oil changes used Subaru 5w-30 (dealer services)...so what's going on? Is LMNGen thicker than advertised or is the Subaru dealer using something thinner than spec'd???

I've used Molygen 5w30 in my 2014 WRX Hatch, I noticed a change in noise for the better. Remember, Molygen has a Friction Modifier (MFC) which can change the Friction Coefficient. My mpg came and went too...until the oil broke in and my mpg went 2 to 3 higher. I get 24-27 mpg highway mixed with town 50/50.

When the like 6th frame of this vid shows a 3hp decrease😅 btw. I seen some comments saying it made an additional 3hp? That's margin of error. Ty commentary for saving me 30 minutes

Even if the molygen acheives the 15% reduction in friction, the amount of friction we're talking about reducing is very little to begin with. In other words, there's not that much friction to be eliminated to start with in modern engines. So a 15% reduction on a basically frictionless engine will yield very little.

I bet it would or been the same with any new 5w40 oil.

Do you think I would be safe running this oil in my 2017 subaru STI? Take 5w-30 so I don’t see why not. Any info on this helps. Thanks!

What's the margin of error on a Dyno? About 3hp?

2015 audi s3 106,000K Switched to Molygen @ 100K. Why didn't I do this earlier ugh.. This green molygen is like water 💧 to this audi. It loves it. And the uv is badass. 1? Can you add liqui fuel injector with Molygen green oil?

Fuel injectors cleaners should be added to the fuel tank not the engine oil , be careful not to add it to the engine oil as it would theoretically weaken the oil

I always used mobile 1 0w40 for my 6.4 never lesson lifters noise for long time, after using liquimoly 5w40 for couple mileage i lesson alot noise from my engine 🙃🙃

Overtime Mos2 gets slicker in your engine. So it may give you up to 10 horsepower and better fuel efficiency. It does work but give it about 1,000 miles first, engine really smooths out.

Dies this oil contain any zinc, or is it just pure molybdenum ?

It's to balance out the heat soak in intercooler to give accurate test

So you can add mos2 to moly gen 2 oil., I can't find a straight answer, on weather it will affect the moly gen 2 or if they work together or against each other, an if so do you use the same or alittle less considering moly gen supposedly was mos 2 in it at a low percent,,someone please answer this I'm going crazy to find out ,maybe add it to every other moly gen oil change or what ,,thank you guys,,,I'm stage 2 ie tune ,ie dsg tune ,many many bolt ons obd eleven scan gool ,3 onch cold air intake with heat sheild. Arm motorsports charge piping kit ,cts down pipe, cts catch can gfb diverter ,apr coils,034 street mounts 2 step cold plugs, upper an lower dogbone,cts turbo muffler delete kit,which I hope fits the cts+x k04 I'm getting , forge turbo blanket, intake an manifold along with charge pipe heat wrapped, I just started using moly gen 2 oil ,after many miles of mobil 1 euro blend ,black bottle ,and at first it seemed louder after moly gen change but I just did the mounts that were shot so I assumed it was loader cuzz the engine sat higher an the noise was echoing from the engine up next to the body,considering or engines are loud to begin with but after about 500 miles it kinda quited down a bit so can I use mos 2 safely with moly gen oil or will it sludge or cause other problems, car has many mile but well maintained compression is about 170 on each cylinder which is excellent considering the mileage an timing has been done as well,,but some say yeah it'll be fine or no it's not recommended,,,I'm looking for experience on this that tells me ohh he'll no or he'll yeah an why ,,thank you very much guys happy tuning

Per LM in Germany, yes, you can run MoS2 with Molygen. Not supposed to run Ceratec. I've run Molygen 5W40 w/MoS2 on the track several times. The issue is that Molygen has a chemical friction modifier (tungsten) and MoS2 is a solid (Molybdenum disulfide) so they don't have issues with each other - not supposed to run Ceratec with it's chemical friction modifier will compete...according to LM.

@@karstgeo7290 thanks I appreciate it ,I did add alittle before my last oil change ,I'm only using moly gen from now on,,, I gotta say the motor has been running very smoothly, and I've also noticed alot less oil build up in my cts catch can ,,an I mean alot less ,,I change my oil at every 3000 ,,regardless,,soon as it turns dark its outta there ,,an filter to ,,,but thank you for the reply,,ima be k04n ina bout a month or so an I'm big on keeping my fluids new ,,same with my dsg every 30 t0 40 k it's outta there but I use motul for that

LM will tell you it's ok to run MoS2 with Molygen but not Ceratec - straight from Stefan over in Germany. MoS2 is a solid molybdenum disulfide friction modifier which doesn't interfere with the tungsten-based chemical friction modifier in the Molygen.

Science.

Spraying water for the LM run and not the castrol run is your 3 hp I'm afraid...hahhahaa...just noticed that. Always in testing...apples to apples/all variables the same. Also, could have run the MoS2 with the Castrol so Castrol on it's own run. Castrol + MoS2 run. Molygen run. Molygen + MoS2 run. (3 of each, average them). No water spray on any of them.

I used Molygen 5W40 for my last oil change and even used Liquimoly's Moly additive, but I think I'll be going back Castrol Edge 5W40, especially after watching Project Farm's oil review

Add ceratec to amsoil signature series,etc - better for less $

Why wouldn't you do a pull before you put the additive and then after? The molygen isn't ment to be topped up with anymore additives.

Hi, so I filled up my Kia Seltos engine with this Liqui Moli Molygin. And I already have run almost 5100 kilometer. And the oil all run out. Its color turned into brownish. No viscosity. And other people told me to run even over a 10,000 kilometer and it would want more 👎. Thet NOT true unfortunately. This is so bad for my engine. I'm gonna change it immediately

Oh this, it is not intended for Korean cars, it is intended for German cars such as Mercedes, BMW and Porsche, and you put it for the Korean 🤣🤣😂😂 Advice for God's sake when you buy oil, read in the instructions, it may not fit your car or your car company, you should know that not all oils flow Korean cars Peace, mercy and blessings of God

The brownish is normal because the oil breaks down over time, the no viscosity might be a issue with your vehicle

I use liqui moly in my 1.8T volkswagen passat. I used ones this green one and i drove 300 miles i hade engine light on then i stoped to use green one. I would say it is perfect for new cars not for the old cars

@@muhammadhashim335 green was not cause of engine light. It is a great oil. I had old engine. Liqui moly flushed everything and cleaned my engine and all dirt was stocked in oil filter screen. So oil pressure went down and I had engine light on

There is nothing special about Molly Gen oil. This 4 hp increase is due to Mos2 anti friction treatment. If you put the same thing in castrol engine oil, it will produce even more power.

your not supposed to add anymore additives to the oil, it disrupts the already perfect addative balance!!

Just a Liquimoly advert really. so it had to show better. i bet the first run with the new oil showed no real difference. hence the run with the guy spraying water in.

1st run : no water spray 2nd run : long hair guy spraying water into the intercooler 4whp&4Nm after new oil&mos2&water spraying is a hard sell to me, LM could do better, seriously

It's due to reduction of the friction in engine components contact. Nomally by adding friction modifier additive. For new API SP grade motor oils, most likely content friction modify to improve mileage and reduce engine noise along with engine vibration by reducing metal to metal frictions such as cylinder wall against piston ring, camshaft to valve lifters...etc.

ANY new fully synthetic oil would give more hp on the dyno compared to the old oil the engine had. This video is nonsense... and probably paid by the company. PS: Ceratec does a much better job as anti-friction additive...

That is within the margin of error proves nothing.

Hi, 1st Molly company doesn't suggest to add anything, 2nd I done the dyno test too. Did not gave any extra power all bollox

They don't but you can - if you talk to the LM folks over in Germany they will tell you you can run MoS2 with it, must not Ceratec. I've run Molygen + MoS2 on the track in my VW based on that b/c why not.

old oil vs new oil would set a difference like that nothing special.
