Malcom, I am so glad I stumbled on this video! I have an 03 Cobra I am doing the very same thing to! I have the Innovate LC-2 widebands, but they do not specifically state they are can bus, but are digital and reprogrammable. Can I expect the same performance as with the Zeitronics Canny's?

No I don't believe so. It has to support CAN Bus specifically. You'd have to ditch those and switch to the Zeitronix to make that work.

Have found that your videos regarding the MS3PRO has been the most useful. I have a kenne bell 2000gt and a 97 Cobra with a turbo set up on it that I am looking to add the MS3 set up to both of these cars. Do I need dual widebands for both of these and will I need gauges for the wideband or just hook them into the ecu and read them via laptop?

Happy to hear they're useful. I would definitely recommend dual widebands on them. You could just install one but remember you'll only be reading one bank of the engine just assuming & hoping the other bank is doing the same thing. It's a great way to blow an engine up. A gauge or gauges are certainly nice for monitoring or keeping an eye on things but not required. You can have them read and data logged in the ECU and you can setup safeties within the ECU to save the engine should the AFR ever go out of spec.

@@spoolinsvt6489 no affiliate links but I appreciate the willingness to support the videos. I'd recommend you get the Zeitronix ZT3 CAN based widebands. I have a whole video on why the CAN based widebands over the old style analog signal widebands.

Can you leave the CAN Bus ID as 005A or does it have to be 006A? Wondering why the change

  • @MalcolmV8

If you have a single wideband you can leave it. If you have two you must change one of them or they’ll conflict and the MS3 won’t be able to communicate with them.

@@MalcolmV8 That makes sense and felt like I understood after I walked away from the video before your comment. I actually had dual widebands (ZT-3's none the less) hooked up and it did work without me changing those parameters? I was wondering how the MS3 knew what bank was which. I even called Matt at AMP EFI and thought I had it sorted with the resistor wiring and everything but here you are again sharing your knowledge about how to actually turn it on lol. What I did notice in the CAN receiving tab is the second EGO was blank and I assume not on. I'm not sure if I didn't follow directions the first time around but did get everything resolved and updated with your instructions. I did also notice your AFR/EGO fuel settings window, my left side looks totally different. Mine is "simple" vs your "PID". Thanks so much man for this info.
