I remember back in the Ruby and Sapphire days I used to use my copy of Ruby as my main game, and my copy of Sapphire for the version exclusives and to create secret base gyms for my Ruby copy. I remember making a character named Ash and giving him a Pikachu, Swellow, Grovyle, Corphish, Torkoal and Snorunt for his own secret base gym.

I just find it crazy how the first mega you get in this game is a freaking legendary, and you get it so early!

An optimisation you could have done in this run would have been to utilise Swellows guts ability by prepoisoning/burning it before a fight. That way due to its high speed stat it would be able to deal even more damage (and before someone mentions it guts ignores the attack drop from burn). I know you used it at the end but theres a few instances where it would have made some fights a lot easier

Dude although Thunder armor doesn't make any sense but the writers cleared at the beginning of the Hoen series that ash's Swellow can take multiple Thunder Attack without any problem ... so it isn't that much weird maybe that Swallow's father was a electric pokemon or a pokemon with lightning rod ability, who knows
