Could've been a dream shift, not likely thought. Possibly Astral Shifting? To me, seems like what I've heard an Astral shift is like, (where you travel to a different setting/world as your theriotype)

Hello! By the description you gave there are 3 types of shifts you could have had! 1. Astral shift- can be done by any shifter, not just humans. It makes you go into a different universe/alternative reality. 2. Memory shift- where therianthropes get a memory or picture of another universe/past life (depending on spiritual or psychological.) 3. Dream shift- you could have fell asleep while drawing and had a dream of it, but it would still count as a shift. This can be done by anyone, but is only counted a shift if a therianthrope dreams of it. I would research each term, but memory shift/astral shift IS the most likely, but I would say astral because you saw it in video without your real surroundings on the side.

i've personally had only one memory shift before, i was lying down on some sort of farm surrounded by trees, everything was blurry, i was dizzy, and there was this farmer standing over me with some kind of object in his hand (maybe a weapon?) so i think that was how i may have died. i've also had glimpses of the forest where i lived, and it was absolutely gorgeous. i wish i could still live that life

I had a dream shift where I was a loon that was mauled by an otter. I get that ‘Dream shifts aren’t valid’ or whatever but how are normal shifts valid? There is no proof other than what is in your mind. Like dream shifts. If anyone can help please do. I just wanna know what’s so ‘wrong’ about my dream shift.

It could be a memory shift. I feel the same way when I look at canines, ants, leopards, etc. I personally don't get memory shifts and as far as I know, I don't have a past life.

I'm not a Therian but I found this on my FYP and that sounds cool but also sad since you miss them

Yes I’ve had that before! It could have been a memory shift if you believe in past lives but for someone who doesn’t, like me, I believe that it could’ve been a vision into another universe, another timeline, or of the future. You were most likely not a silver fox, but instead a cross fox which is the melanistic version of a red fox.

My recommendation would be meditation. Meditation without a goal is better as it allows memories to be more clearly distinguished from imagination. I feel the same about hands. That’s a memory shift. I don’t have a past life (as far as I’m aware) so I don’t know much about these. It’s where you just suddenly get a memory of your theriotype. It could be traumatic, or it could just be walking. It also could be an astral shift, where you are kinda in 2 places at once: the “real” world and your theriotype’s world

I had an experience like this. (Taxidermist) I bought a silver fox pelt. I looked at it and had a “vision” of a winters forest. I looked behind me and saw a long silver bushy tail. I found a den , it smelled like me, I went in it .The weird shift ended. I was so confused so I just started doing quads.

I think it might have been a memory shift. Also unrelated but you should become an author because that is amazing writing!

Maybe a phantom shift, which is where you just have like a memory or something that comes back. I have a random memory of jumping over a river, with my paws all wet.

It sounds like you had a memory/dream shift or as you said past life flashback. I had one once I was asleep so it was a dream shift. I was in a big field it was fall out and the sun was setting. I was on top of a little hill and I felt afraid. Soon a a coyote came over the hill and looked at me sadly a few moments later a couple other coyotes came over the hill and some growled at me. I felt sad, mad, portrayed and scared. The more I’ve thought about it lately I seem to get sad and tear up… (coyote is one of my theriotypes)

I’m not a therian so I can’t help you, but omg was that description marvelous! You should be a writer!

Memory shift most likely, that or an astral shift. You should try doing some more research on the different types of shifts.

There are silver morphs of red foxes, almost exclusive to captivity breeding, but /gray/ foxes are an entirely different species that can't breed with red foxes. Might want to look more into the biology and that

There are two possible options. First, plain and simple, your imagination. A lot of people belive they are a therian because they have a “memory shift” when it’s actually their imagination making up stuff. Second: a memory shift. A memory shift is where a perosn with a past life remembers a part of their past life. But also remeber: even if you have a past life, that won’t make you a therian. If you suspect you may be a therian, then you can start doing research.

I am in fact a therian, I awakened as some sort of domestic cat awhile ago and after that "flashback", which many have concluded was a memory shift, I started doing more research and found out I also had a fox theriotype ^^
